“Jigariyaa,” trailer was launched by Rohit Shetty. The trailer launch was attended by the director Raj Purohit, writer and producer Vinod Bachchan and lead actors Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia.  Jigariyaa is a love story set in simpler times and features newcomers, an interesting combination given the themes essayed by young actors today.

Rohit Shetty, who was a guest of honour, says,” Even I was new, today these people are new to this so I would like you to support these new people and help them grow further. So that when they will grow  tomorrow you don’t have to run behind these guys for their photos. Normally I would not go in any event but today I have come here to support them. I would speacially encourage Vinod Bachchan in particular as with the new artists they have created such a beautiful film. Mein samajta hoon “Jigariyaa” banana ke liye Jigar ki zaroorat hain, joh Vinod ne karke dikhaya hain. Vinod and I know since when I was an assistant director.”

Jigariyaa, is inspired by the true events. The film revolves around the love story in Agra.

SYNOPSIS

Inspired from the true events, 'Jigariyaa' tells the tale of Shaamlal Gupta (Shaamu) and Radhika Sharma (Raadha). Shaamu, the only son of halwaai Ramlal Gupta is a happy go lucky boy based in Agra, the city of love. He spends his days writing sheyr-o-shayari admired by his motley group of good-for-nothing friends and his doting mother.

The only daughter of Pandit Shankar Dayal Sharma, Radhika, is a well educated and caring girl who helps her father in his endeavours as a social do gooder and a man of high reputation in Mathura, the city of Lord Krishna. She is the apple of his eyes and is loved by one and all.

On a visit to her Nani's house in Agra, Shaamu, literally falls in love with Raadha at first sight and thus begins his quest to find this elusive girl in the streets of Agra.

As they grow fond and close to each other, the destiny takes another turn and the two lovers break apart.

Where will their lives take them from here? Will the two innocent lovers unite or will fate again tear them apart?
What does destiny have enstored for them?

Jigariyaa, is a love story lost in time. A time when purity of heart and innocence were the only two things that united two people in love. A time when promises and pacts made in love were worth their weight in gold.

Kangana Ranaut –voted female performer of the year by Ormax.

National award winner Kangana Ranaut,one of Bollywood’s most versatile actresses of all time, who won accolades for her performances in Queen and Revolver Rani received praise unanimously from audiences , critics and the industry alike.

The actress recently topped a rating poll conducted by Ormax Media to emerge the top female performer of the year for her performance in Vikas Bahl’s Queen ,a film that truly acted as a  turning point in Kangana Ranaut’s career , in a performance that is nothing short of the finest one has seen on celluloid in a very long time.

   

The film directed by Vikas Bahl  has got a rating of 9.1 out of 10 on popular international website IMDB, making it the first Indian film to get such a high rating.Interestingly, it is the only film to receive a rating closest to Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic Mafia saga ‘The Godfather’ starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan and others which received a 9.2 rating on IMDB.

Kangana then followed that up with her next performance as a feisty gun-toting politico in Sai Kabir’s ‘Revolver Rani –which several praised as she essayed offbeat role of a violent, passionate but vulnerable dacoit with commendable ease.

Kangana Ranaut made it to the Numero Uno spot , not to mention also featuring in the Ormax poll for her performance in Revolver Rani on the number 5 spot –Based purely on audience research, the Ormax ranking was based on performance rating among viewers of respective films and hence not dependent on box office.

'Mardaani' tax free in MP

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has decided to make the Rani Mukerji starrer, Mardaani absolutely tax free.

After the CM saw the film, he not only applauded the power packed performance of Rani in the film, but also mentioned how the film has got focus on the worst social evil of human trafficking which needs to be eliminated.

The CM feels that it is very important for this film to have a widened reach and so making it tax free would be extremely beneficial.

What is bigger is that the CM went on his own accord to watch the film with his family and decided to make it tax free.

The makers of the film were very happy when they got to know about this and they are hoping that others see it in the same way and the film gets a similar tax free status elsewhere.

The film has a very strong social message which is put across not in a preachy way but with a very interesting story.

The film has been snowballing even at the box office, growing by positive word of mouth.

Rani is personally elated with all the feedback. She is glad that the film is making a connect with people and hopeful that it will make a difference.

As a part of the promotion of Nautanki Films' Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, Neha Dhupia unveiled the autumn-winter collections of Reliance Footprints.

Talking about the association Neha Dhupia said, "We did a wonderful tie-up for the film Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami with Reliance Footprint, where I play the character of Jayaprabha and if I was not complaining a single day at work is not only because of the production quality but because of the wonderful shoes I got to wear. And I have to say not only as Jayaprabha but also as Neha, who is a person who is always on the move."

Answering questions of the kind of shows she personally likes Neha picked a pair of shoes that were on display at the press conference and added, "I like shoes that cover my feet from the front."  She also added that she loves heels and almost always wears them.
