Poignant historical film ‘The Bastard Child' all set to release in India and Bangladesh this December! Mrityunjay Devvrat’s film title awaiting an approval from the IMPPA.

November 29th, 2013: Director Mrityunjay Devvrat awaiting an approval from the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) for his film, titled 'The Bastard Child.' Mrityunjay is amazed that “Naajayaz (1995), Kaminey (2009) and Inglourious Basterds (2009) are acceptable but not my title. I don’t understand why they are objecting because only the Censor Board has the authority to reject titles.” He adds, “The dictionary defines ‘bastard’ as a child born out of wedlock. It becomes profane only when society uses it in the wrong sense. Maybe they are troubling me because I don’t have enough sources.” We all know of Hitler and his atrocious ways. People have watched Schindler’s List (1993) and Guns Of Navarone (1961) but the genocide that took place in Bangladesh is something that hasn’t been spoken about. The film will showcase how rape and religion were used as war weaponry.
The film deals with the birth of Bangladesh in 1971, focusing on the genocide and when “400,000 women were raped and 3 million people were killed.
Mrityunjay hopes the film releases smoothly in India. “It might face protests in Bangladesh but I will release it there as I spent part of my childhood in the country. This is a small token from my end,” he says.
On being contacted, IMPPA president TP Aggarwal says, “I spoke to the Film Makers Combined and they found the title abusive so they rejected it. I spoke to them to reconsider. Now if the film-maker reapplies, we will reconsider.”
The Bastard Child’ is a controversial film about the sanguinary birth of Bangladesh in 1971. It’s the 1st Indian global film of sorts because its the first indian film talking about another country and what happened there. It is the 1st shocking revelation of what happened in Bangladesh.Directed by an Indian, Mrityunjay Devvrat, this movie is based on a true story and all the facts that were not known to many. It is the Best Kept Secret in the world.
Pavan Malhotra, being a powerful performer, has amazingly portrayed a role of a crude pakistani army officer. The movie also has some veteran performers like Farooq Shaikh and Victor Banerjee. Raima Sen and Indraneil Sengupta play the role of victims and this is the strongest role played by them by far.
Looking forward to his debut release, director of The Bastard Child, Mritunjay Devvrat says, "The Bastard Child’ is a gripping and compelling reconstruction of the events that took place in Bangladesh, in 1971. Not a single soul remained without the tears of sorrow in their eyes for years to come since then. If not anything, it would be only fair to bring out the reality for the world to see. It’s a film like no other, uniting the notable actors of hindi film industry delivering some power packed performances that would surely touch many hearts. We are keenly looking forward to its theatrical release. Indians should definitely watch the tale of its neighboring nation.”
The background score has been given by very talented Sidhant Mathur and Ishaan Chhabra. Mr. Fasahat Khan, D.O.P of the film has done complete justice by capturing the right essence of the subject.
The Bastard Child is expected to release on December 27th, 2013. This emotionally stimulating film is all set to carve a dent in the history.

The unstable environment within their homes manifests into their daring attitude towards life. Amrita Rao's scary Morning

Recently while actress Amrita Rao was on her way to the airport for an early morning flight she came across a rickshaw driver physically assaulting a woman. in the most brutal manner. It was 4 am in the morning and the rickshaw was parked in a secluded area of a long private road that connected to the main road. When Amrita saw the rickshaw driver holding a woman by her hair and banging her head to the ground mercilessly she couldn't force herself to move on and had to stop to try and stop the man. She opened the car door and howled at the man to stop hitting the woman and scared him that she will call the cops. But he ignored justifying that the woman he was beating up was a thief. When Amrita’s driver stepped out of the car to stop the man, three other men who also could have been rickshaw drivers and who could have been involved in the woman getting beaten up came out of nowhere and started hovering around her car. As soon as Amrita realised that she hurriedly summoned her driver to get back into the car and fled away from the location. Amrita realised she did not even have her mobile as she had forgotten it at home. Amrita proposed to the driver to go to the police station but he suggested that she will surely miss the flight. On realising that it would be highly unprofessional to miss her flight and not land up at the event where all arrangements and bookings were already made and there were people eagerly awaiting her arrival, she headed to the airport but the day had already started on a bad note and her car broke down on the highway and then she had to call for an emergency help and somehow managed to get on the flight.

Amrita says, "I haven't slept well since the incident imagining what would have happened if the 4 men got together and attacked me and my driver. It was still dark and no one would have heard our screams. It is a HEIGHLY unsafe city for women AND I also realised that DAY THAT A lot of injustice must be happening to the women of our country between 12 am-5 am."
She further adds, "Although what I did was very dangerous, ideally I should have called the police and informed them the location and the rickshaw number so that they could take action. Getting involved was very dangerous and would have only worsen things but I raised my voice against women getting beaten up and as a woman myself that is the only satisfaction that stays with me."

Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang.

Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang.

The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.

Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way.

It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.

Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir.

Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.

Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health"
