When director Susi Ganesh wanted Neil to play the lead in his film ‘Shortcut Romeo

Neil makes sketches before changing his look

When director Susi Ganesh wanted Neil to play the lead in his film ‘Shortcut Romeo’ his first instruction to the actor was that he wanted him to sport long hair in the film.  Neil being a fine artist made sketches of his look with the long hair for the director’s approval and then zeroed in on the final look for the film.
Director Susi Ganesh says “I wanted him to have long hair for the role so we asked him to wear a wig. He loved the look but said that instead of a wig he would grow his hair naturally long. He took all the trouble to grow his mane and he looked very different. We loved the look with the long hair and decided to go in with the look for the character.”
Susi concludes, “Whoever has seen Neil in this look have appreciated him and Neil is also thrilled with his new look in the film”.
‘Shortcut Romeo' is a  remake of Susi Ganesh's super hit Tamil film 'Thiruttu Payale'. The film also features Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta and is slated to release on 21st June, 2013.

Susi Ganesh's 'Shortcut Romeo' was premiered at Cannes Film Festival in the non-competition section.

‘Mere Haule Dost’ to bring fun Hyderabadi flavor to cinemas this June
PVR Director’s Rare to release Nitin Raghunath’s movie on 7th June

Mumbai, May 14th, 2013: PVR Director’s Rare is all set to bring a fun and quirky movie ‘Mere Haule Dost’ on 7th June, 2013. The movie is directed by Nitin Raghunath, a California based tech professional who has earlier made films like ‘Turjya’, 'Kashish'(Selected for Cannes Short film Corner 2011) & ‘Explorer’ (San Francisco Short Film Festival).

Mere Haule Dost is a coming of age movie set against the backdrop of lives of five laid-back friends in the city of Hyderabad. It’s an exhilarating journey of friendship, girls, parties, bikes, madness and their thrill for the Himalayan bike rally. It all starts with the fascination of these eccentric friends with the Himalayan Bike Rally, which they want to participate in. Given their messed-up lives, it doesn’t come easy for these young boys to cough up money for the trip. It is a lighthearted depiction of self discovery, adventure, growing up, friendships and optimism.

Speaking on the release, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, JMD, PVR Ltd. said “Mere Haule Dost is an interesting addition to the Director’s Rare portfolio. Our aim always is to bring new and different kind of cinema to our patrons. I hope ‘Mere Haule Dost’ strikes a chord with the independent cinema loving audience.

Director of the movie, Nitin Raghunath said, “Mere Haule Dost is a young adult film that I envisioned when I was in college. I wanted to make something that was not too stylistic but yet had elements of nostalgia and the vibe of a studio sitcom. As a storyteller, I am interested in sci-fi & action adventure subjects but this was a conscious effort to tell a story that was 360 degree opposite of what I normally engage with.  I hope the audience sees this film as a refreshing take on the young adult film genre and has fun following these quirky characters around.”

The movie stars Anirudh Loka, Raghuvardhan Garlapati, Aadil Abedi, Rishit Samala, Kiran Gadalay, Preeti Gupta, Catherine Fallows, Zainab Lax, Yantisha Singh, Harika Vedula, Babita Punetha, Natasha Pamnani, Anand Natesh.

Mere Haule Dost! Will release on June 7th, 2013 through the PVR Director’s Rare banner.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ soon to be released ‘Hangover 3’

‘Hangover 3’

It’s been two years.  Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Doug (Justin Bartha) are happily living uneventful lives at home.  Tattoos have been lasered off, files purged.  The last they heard from disaster-magnet Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong), he’d been tossed into a Thai prison and, with him out of the way, the guys have very nearly recovered from their nights prowling the seamy side of Las Vegas in a roofie’d haze, and being kidnapped, shot at, and chased by drug-dealing mobsters in Bangkok.
The only member of the Wolfpack who’s not content is Alan (Zach Galifianakis).  Still lacking a sense of purpose, the group’s black sheep has ditched his meds and given into his natural impulses in a big way—which, for Alan, means no boundaries, no filters and no judgment—until a personal crisis forces him to finally seek the help he needs.
And who better than his three best friends to make sure he takes the first step.
This time, there’s no bachelor party.  No wedding.  What could possibly go wrong?   But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.
“The Hangover Part III” is the epic conclusion to an incomparable odyssey of mayhem and bad decisions, in which the guys must finish what they started by going back to where it all began: Las Vegas.
One way or another…it all ends here.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes “The Hangover Part III,” the third and final film in director Todd Phillips’ record-shattering comedy trilogy.
“The Hangover Part III” reunites stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha as Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug.  Also returning to the cast are Ken Jeong as Leslie Chow; Heather Graham as Stu’s first wife, Jade; and Jeffrey Tambor as Alan’s father, Sid.  Joining the ensemble for the first time is John Goodman, starring as the guys’ new nightmare, Marshall.
Todd Phillips directs from a screenplay he wrote with Craig Mazin, who previously collaborated with him on the screenplay for “The Hangover Part II.”   The film is produced by Phillips and Dan Goldberg, with Thomas Tull, Scott Budnick, Chris Bender and J.C. Spink serving as executive producers.  The film also reunited key members of Todd Phillips’ creative team from the first two films: director of photography Lawrence Sher, editor Debra Neil-Fisher and costume designer Louise Mingenbach.  They are joined by production designer Maher Ahmad (“Gangster Squad”) and editor Jeff Groth (“Project X”).  The music is composed by Christophe Beck, who created the scores for “The Hangover” and “The Hangover Part II.”
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Green Hat Films Production of a Todd Phillips Movie: “The Hangover Part III.”  It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
