Emraan lets Huma take over for a kissing scene

Emraan lets Huma take over for a kissing scene

Emraan Hashmi’s stature has certainly gone beyond his initial tag of being just a serial kisser. The actor, who has shown his acting and superstar chops in films like Shanghai and Jannat2, is one of the most coveted talents in Bollywood now. However, when Emraan is in a film, kissing becomes an integral part of the script.

But for a change, the actor has let his co-star take charge. A source told us that in his latest film, Ek Thi Daayan, there is a scene where Huma Qureshi and Emmi are required to get intimate. Naturally, nothing could convey it better than a lip-to-lip kiss. So, the set was emptied out and only the bare minimum technicians stood back to capture the scene.

Surprisingly, the one who took charge was not Emmi, but his co-star Huma. She actually made him comfortable. Emraan sportingly said, “Yeah, we have a kiss, but I let Huma take over.”

But there is a dampener: One hears that the kiss was to be part of the new promos, but the Central Board of Film Certification has raised objection. Wait and watch for what round two in this producer censor constant tug of war has to offer.

Mumbai, 21st March: Cricket is today a different game altogether.  The lengthy five-day game has turned into a swift twenty - twenty sport to keep pace with the desires of millions of Indians, who want quick action and swift results. There is also a tremendous increase in women viewers for the game, which is drawn by mixed supporters for the game both from glamour and cricket industry.

Players these days have to play as many as 4 matches sometimes in a week which takes a toll on their clothes & hence leads to frequent wash cycles for their colored jerseys. But as we all know colored clothes washing leads to continuous fading of the garment.

In order to help us out from this dilemma, Ariel, the category pioneer and innovation leader, has launched a new variant to help us get rid of harsh stains & protect colors of your favorite colored clothes. This time, Ariel has associated with Indian cricketer’s wives; the faces behind our cricket champions who not only support them unconditionally but also help them keep their colorful team jerseys at its best.

New Ariel Color & style not only removes tough stains but also helps to retain the colors of our garments with its unique Color Lock technology. ‘My Color My Ariel’ is an initiative aimed at recognizing the efforts of a woman in every man’s life & appreciates her efforts through this platform.

Celebrity Soha Ali Khan, a known face in Bollywood who has seen the game of cricket through the eyes of her father, spoke about the changing trends in the world of cricket on this platform. She was quoted saying, “Cricket is today a different game altogether & since the format is different, the number of games played is much more than what it used to be in my father’s time. For cricket fans like me, ‘Ariel Color & Style’ has come to a great rescue as it will not only remove tough stains but will also help prevent color fading with its Color-Lock Technology, which means no more worrying for me to wear my lucky colored t shirt every time my favorite team is out there playing”.

Also present at the event was Karabee Kailash, cricket player- Pragyan Ojha’s wife and Ariel believer who shared some interesting secrets about her husband’s cricket journey from the time he joined the Indian cricket team and what all went behind her champion’s success. She said, “Pragyan isn’t a top cricketer just by luck, he has struggled for years together to make his place in the team today. His constant effort to perform his best on the field always takes a toll on his precious jersey. That’s why; I choose Ariel Color & Style as it removes the toughest stains protecting vibrant colors from fading. After all, only I know how much this jersey means to my ‘man in blue”.

DJANGO UNCHAINED REVIEW

DJANGO UNCHAINED

STORY.
In 1858, several male slaves are chained and being transported after being purchased by the Speck Brothers, Ace and Dicky. Among the slaves is Django, who has been sold away from his wife, Broomhilda. The Speck brothers encounter Dr. King Schultz, a German dentist and, unbeknownst to them, a bounty hunter. Schultz kills Ace after he points a rifle at Schultz, and shoots Dicky's horse, crushing his leg under it. Schultz then asks Django if he knows the Brittle Brothers and when he finds out that he does and can identify them, Schultz offers Django his freedom and $75 in exchange for helping him track them down. They leave Dicky to be executed by the slaves as they depart. After they hunt down and kill the Brittle brothers, Schultz partners with Django in bounty hunting until spring, at which time he will assist Django in tracking down and rescuing Broomhilda. Over the winter, Schultz trains Django in bounty hunting and mastering a sidearm.
Django collects his first bounty, a member of a man named Smitty Bacall's gang, and keeps the handbill. After collecting a number of bounties over the winter, Schultz and Django confirm that Broomhilda's current owner is Calvin Candie, the charming but brutal owner of the Candyland plantation in Mississippi, who forces his slaves to fight to the death in "Mandingo fights". Schultz expects that Candie will demand an exorbitant price for Broomhilda if they are forthright with their intentions, so they devise a ruse whereby they will pretend to seek the purchase of one of Candie's prize fighters for a hefty sum, meanwhile purchase Broomhilda on-the-side for a more reasonable sum, then disappear before they finalize the bogus deal. Schultz and Django meet Candie at a club in Greenville and offer to buy one of his fighters for $12,000. His greed tickled, Candie invites them to his plantation. On the road, Schultz and Django witness Candie murder one of his Mandingo fighters, who fled due to not wanting to fight any more, by having him torn apart by dogs. At the plantation, Schultz secretly informs Broomhilda of the plot. At dinner, Schultz expresses an incidental interest in Broomhilda because she speaks German, and offers $300 for her.
Django raises the suspicions of Candie's staunchly loyal senior house slave, Stephen, who correctly deduces that Django and Broomhilda know each other and that the sale of the Mandingo fighter is a ruse, and informs Candie in private. This enrages Candie, who, armed with this information, demands the $12,000 for Broomhilda instead, or he will kill her. Schultz agrees to buy her at this price in order to save her life. After the money is paid and the paperwork signed, Candie demands to shake hands with Schultz to finalize the deal, or Broomhilda will be shot. Schultz, in disgust, shoots and kills Candie point-blank with a concealed Derringer gun. Schultz is shot dead too, and a gun fight erupts. Django shoots many of Candie's henchmen but has to surrender when Stephen threatens to have Broomhilda killed.
As punishment, Stephen and Candie's sister Lara agree to send Django to a mine to be worked to death. Broomhilda, instead of being given her freedom, is locked in a cabin. En route to the mine, Django convinces the slave drivers that he is a bounty hunter, shows them the handbill from his first kill as evidence, and falsely informs them that there is a high-end bounty on some outlaws who have taken refuge back at Candie's plantation. He offers them a cut of the bounty if they free him and ride with him. The moment they free him, he kills the slave drivers, takes their dynamite, and rides back to Candyland.
Returning to the plantation, Django discovers Schultz's body. He takes the certificate of freedom that Candie signed for Broomhilda and reunites with her after freeing her from where she was being held. When Candie's mourners return to the Candyland mansion from his funeral, Django reveals himself. He sends off the remaining slaves and in a final shoot-out kills everyone inside except Stephen, whom he shoots in the knees. Having set the dynamite inside the house, he lights the fuse and leaves. Django and Broomhilda watch from a distance as the house explodes, killing Stephen, and ride away.

CRITIC VIEW.
Quentin Tarantino' DJANGO UNCHAINED  is a three hour journey to a unforgettable american slavery history towards black,as for the making tarantino has a apt style of bloodshed and guns.

Jamie Foxx (django) plays a role suitable to him only,as to his physical appearence and the comic timming what he has performed is worth watching, displaying a role which was just made for him.

Other scene stealers are Leonardo Di Caprio as (calvin candie) plantation trader in a subtle but volcanic screen presence, also Samuel L.Jackson portrays a slave character though the make up effect makes him look horrific.

The movie is a total cinematic experience giving you frame after frame of real breathtaking location and camera movements leaving behind all the  tehnic of CGI and effects which have snatched the film making process to a virtual cinema.

The movie is a bit to lenghty but a real cinema lover would never get a oppurtunity to encounter into a film which will come for ages to come.got it.

DIL KA KAHAA MAANTI HAI… PAR DIL JEETNA BHI JAANTI HAI

~ Sony Entertainment Television presents ‘Chhanchhan’ starting 25th March at 9:00 p.m, Monday to Thursday ~

Mumbai, Tuesday March 19, 2013: Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has always been the pioneer in bringing forth to its viewers the various facets of a progressive Indian woman. And keeping with its promise of continuously innovating and developing new show concepts, SET is proud to present a new-age woman-oriented fiction show called ‘Chhanchhan’. Starting Monday, March 25, 2013, the show takes a fresh perspective with an aim to capture the minds and hearts of India’s forward-thinking women.
Produced by Optimystix Entertainment, ‘Chhanchhan’ is a story of the beautiful and vivacious girl named Chhanchhan (played by Sanaya Irani) who is by profession a dog trainer. She is a free-spirited independent young woman, modern in her thought but still deeply rooted in her culture. She stands up for what is right and raises her voice against all that is wrong. In complete contrast to her, is the strict disciplinarian Umaben (played by Supriya Pathak) who takes all the decisions in her household and sets the rules for her family. In a classic tale of the clash of cultural conditioning, watch two generations of fiesty women redefine the quest for a day when east meets west and the joys of life are fulfilled. 'Chhanchhan' is a story that will touch many generations of women.
Talking about the show Vivek Bahl, Chief Creative Director, SET said, “Chhanchhan is a refreshing and unique prime time property placed at the 9:00 p.m. slot. It is a powerful story of self-reliance, determination and family values told in a simplistic, real and light-hearted manner. The show captures every emotion of a young very fun loving, simple at heart girl who finds happiness in small things, and enjoys life as it comes her way. She has been brought up with modern and ethnic values and she loves to practice them in her day to day life in her own way. We are optimistic that the audience will accept Chhanchhan into their lives just the way they have embraced all the other Sony Entertainment Television characters before.”
Vipul Shah, Producer, Optimystix said, “We have had a long and fruitful relationship with Sony Entertainment Television, working on some landmark shows together. Chhanchhan is a different and an entertaining concept of a free-spirited girl who is a dog trainer by profession. She is a young feisty woman of substance, who is modern in her outlook towards life yet deeply connected and rooted to her core values. She is someone who loves listening to rock music but at the same time will recite the Gayatri Mantra every morning. She is someone who stands for what she believes is right and will not shy away from voicing her opinion. She is very much the Indian woman of today and we hope that our viewers will love every bit of her character and welcome her into their homes.”
Set in Ahmedabad, the show explores how the vivacious Chhanchhan applies her intelligence, plays her cards well and sets a dysfunctional family that she marries into, back on track. The cast includes a strong ensemble of actors led by the veteran Supriya Pathak, the vivacious Sanaya Irani who is paired opposite newcomer Farhan Khan, along with noted actors like Anang Desai, Arvind Vaidya, Shraman Jain, Arshima Thapar amongst several others who ably support the main cast.

Starting March 25, 2013, tune in to Sony Entertainment Television at 9:00 p.m. every Monday to Thursday and enliven your living rooms with Chhanchhan

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

director's note:
dreams. ambition. hope. disappointments. so much possibility. so many options. eager to jump. afraid to crash.

travel. first day at your first job. hectic days. sleepless nights. family. no time for them, suddenly. laughter, music, dance… friendship. best friend getting married. trying to understand the concept of marriage.trying to understand the concept of love. falling in love. falling out of love. falling in love again.

excitement.confusion. feeling invincible. feeling worthless. the feeling that things couldn't possibly get worse. only to learn that they do in fact get worse.but only until they get better. making choices, taking chances, accepting change… The madness of youth!

The journey from a 21-year old to a 30-year old has had shades of all kinds. As the rest of life will too, undoubtedly. But there is something about one's first tryst with adulthood which is particularly powerful… a kind of rawness, a lack of lived experience, no way of truly knowing what lies at the end of the road one is walking on, a constant seeking in the dark for the moments where life is full of light.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a cocktail of all these encounters and obsessions… It is a story of the exhilarating and terrifying journey of four characters as they navigate through their youth; from their carefree laughter as they set off on a holiday together in their colleges days, until their bittersweet tears as they watch the first of their bunch get married. It is an effort to somehow capture the spirit of their lives, wrestle with it and give it to our audience in a bottle. So that it might make them feel happy and joyful and sad and nostalgic. And like the characters in the film, it might make them seek for what it is, in all of the above, that truly gives our lives meaning…

Character Sketch

Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) : Bunny is charming and fun loving, full of spirit and an indomitable spirit of adventure. He rejects mediocrity and longs to leave his life at home behind to travel, see the world and embrace the freedom of being unattached. Passionate and resourceful, we see Bunny grow from a young student full of unconventional ambitions to a hard working videographer on a travel show, chasing and concretizing his dreams. He embraces a modern value system and wants to be answerable to no one but himself.

Naina (Deepika Padukone) : Naina is a simple, good-natured and extremely focused girl. Frustrated by the restrictions she needs to put on herself to achieve her dreams of being a doctor; she impulsively decides to go on a trekking trip to Manali to give herself a break. Through the film, Naina transforms from the restricted claustrophobic person she thought she was to a free spirited woman with a newfound love for herself and comfort within her choices. She is strong and dependable and stands firmly for rooted family values.

Aditi (Kalki Koechlin): Brazen, loud and boisterous, Aditi finds herself constantly pushed into being “one of the boys”. She is deeply protective to the point of being aggressive towards her two best friends, Avi and Bunny. Aditi doesn’t care much for appearances or money, but extends her own brand of warmth to those she respects or likes. She is fiercely loyal and fiery, almost too ready to fight for what she believes in. Aditi rarely reveals her softer side but her freely swearing, belligerent persona mellows out over time.

Avi (Aditya Roy Kapur): Avi is a carefree, happy-go-lucky boy and Bunny’s best friend. He loves alcohol, cricket and his student life. He enjoys living in the present moment and doesn’t spend much thought or effort into planning his future. He is very attached, almost dependent on his best friend, Bunny who he loves deeply. His lack of a mature worldview stilts him in some ways and he remains largely stuck in his teenaged universe.
