Tiger Shroff performs live action

Tiger Shroff has made a mark with the kind of stunts the actor has performed in his debut film Heropanti.
The actor who will be seen doing a parkour sequence in his upcoming release organised to perform an action sequence yesterday for an event at a studio in Andheri west .
Tiger seamlessly did a few daredevil stunts doing flips from a leveling or doing back flips. He left everyone jaw dropped.

Zoya Akhtar's film went on floors this weekend. She has set sail with the cast and crew of Dil Dhadakne Do.

On board the liner, which has set off from Barcelona are Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Shefali Shah.

The crew will tour some of the most beautiful cities in the world, including Barcelona, Florence, Rome and Naples.

Zoya and Ritesh have come up with an interesting idea to get the stars behind the camera. The duo have flagged a contest amongst the cast where each of them will be appointed official photographer for a week.

They will be capturing locations also all the behind the scene moments.

Once the shoot gets over, they will announce a winner amongst them. The captured pictures will also be part of the marketing of the film. It will be turned into a kind of digital travelogue.

Says Ritesh Sidhwani " It is going to be a fun activity. We have allotted weeks to each one of them and worked out a plan. They will be taking pictures of the six ports along the way."

Mahesh Bhatt youngest daughter  Aalia Bhatt held a special screening of Hansal Mehta's City lights on Sunday evening for her family and friends along with Rajkummar Rao, Patralekha , director Hansal Mehta and Producer Mahesh Bhatt.

The actress was in for a complete surprise and was awestruck by Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha's performance in the film and couldn't stop praising the duo. The experience was overwhelming for Aalia and the movie left her speechless!

A source close to the team said , ' Aalia has been excited for this film since she has been hearing a lot about it from everyone. So the moment she came to know that the film is ready she requested if she could watch it. And she is extremely overwhelmed by the performances from everyone in the film.' 

Well, with the screenings just begun we hope that the film does wonders.

While last week we saw the young Bollywood brigade like Deepika Padukone to Varun Dhawan, Ali Bhatt, Diana Penty and Abhishek Bachchan getting onto the social network site to tweet about the film, now we have the two of the biggest names Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan tweet about the young star.

 For those who are wondering how this young lad is family to Mr. Bachchan, his daughter Shweta is married to Armaan’s first cousin Nikhil Nanda (son of Raj Kapoor’s elder daughter Ritu Nanda).

ShahRukh tweeted, “Just saw Armaan's Lekar Hum Deewana Dil trailer....my little football partner (Armaan) looks gorgeous in the film. Allah bless u & the film”.

Not many are aware but Shah Rukh along with his son used to play football with Armaan and the other kids! Shah Rukh has seen Armaan grow up in front of his eyes and is also looking forward to his debut performance.

Well, no other actor in the recent past has been lucky to have such a warm welcome and recognition from the who’s who of Bollywood in just the first week of trailer launch. We must say, Armaan sure is a blessed lad.

Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is directed by Arif Ali, Imitiaz Ali’s brother and the music has been composed by AR Rahman, which is touted to be very upbeat, young and vibrant and nothing that we have heard.

The upcoming X Men Days Of Future Past actress and global icon Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence used the Indian art of Yoga to train for the action flick!!

The 23-year-old Oscar winner, who will next reprise her role of shape-shifting mutant Mystique in "X-Men: Days of Future Past,"  used yoga to train for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Her character, Mystique, has the ability to overpower and fight with anyone thanks to her stellar moves. This required Lawrence to become much more flexible than she is. 
“We had certain fights that we coordinated, but also the way that she moves, kind of lizardy-like so lots of yoga and learning to move in the exact opposite way that I move my body.” confirms the X men actress.

Well we Indians always knew Yoga was the answer!!

Actress Asin, who prefers to stay off social media, recently discovered that an impostor had made an account in her name on the social micro-blogging site and had started interacting with her fellow actors Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and many others.   A source close to the actress said, “This confusion arose when Asin's friends like Abhishek Bachhan, Ritesh Deshmukh started calling her up to check if she had joined twitter. She also came to know that a journalist without checking had printed an article quoting the fake twitter ID  thinking that it was a genuine profile." A journo printing without confirming the facts had Asin a little surprised.  She clarified to her friends and confused fans that it wasn't her and  the account is being operated by an impostor. Even Riteish Deshmukh  tweeted a clarification.

~ Where Fashion Joins Hands Against Breast Cancer ~

Mumbai, May 18th, 2014: Through its Fashion Joins Hands Against Breast Cancer initiative, ELLE augments work in the area of breast health under the auspices of the Ogaan Cancer Foundation, which supports the Women’s Cancer Initiative – Tata Memorial Hospital. 

The fashionable afternoon, in association with The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel saw delightful gathering of city’s social brigade in full force to support a cause. The carnival held on Sunday afternoon, saw the presence of Mumbai’s glitterati such as Esha Gupta, Amrita Puri, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Neeta & Nishka Lulla, Sapna Bhavnani, Vikram Raizada, Devika & Suresh Bhojwani amongst many others.  

Fashion Joins Hands Against Breast Cancer is ELLE magazine’s initiative to work with members of the fashion fraternity who donate creations, which will be retailed through the carnivals. Participating designers include Tarun Tahiliani, Masaba, Vineet Bahl, Neeta Lulla, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna Shantanu and Nikhil, Sabyasachi and many more along with a silent auction featuring designer merchandise from prestige brands like Tod’s, Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Chanel and many more was also held at the do. 

With two successful fund-raising events in Bangalore and New Delhi, the carnival culminated on a grandeur note with an afternoon at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai to flag off the finale of ELLE Carnival for a Cause series of events. The foundation is based at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, one of the leading hospitals in the country, working on treatment, education and research in the field of cancer. Fact Sheet – Breast Cancer
Breast cancer has overtaken cervical cancer as the number one cancer in all women in India. In urban India the risk is one in 30 – just two years ago, it was one in 40. 
In India, 61 per cent of breast cancer patients are between the ages of 35 to 50, compared to patients in the West, who are mostly post-menopausal. 
Fifty-six per cent of Indian patients have large tumors (2 to 5 cm) while in the West, they are usually small tumors. 
The majority of cancers in India are grade III, and 42 per cent have spread to the armpit already, whereas in the West, they are caught in the early stages. 
Seventy-five per cent of breast lumps are benign, yet 50 per cent of women in India report for a check-up in advanced stages.  
Statistics show that lifestyle changes increase our chances to develop breast cancer, but early detection greatly improves survival rates, and awareness is our biggest weapon in this battle. 
Factors that increase risk include:
• Early merarche, late menopause
• Having children after the age of 30 or not having children at all
• Limited or no breast feeding
• Obesity, lack of exercise
• Regular intake of alcohol (more than 3 drinks per week)
• Smoking 
How to catch it in time:
• Self breast exam – monthly from the age of 20
• Clinical breast exam – once every year for women above 35, more often for high-risk groups
• Screening mammography – can discover a lump 2 years before it is felt
• If you are above 45 years of age, get an annual scan

Swara Bhaskar  (Ayesha) and Bhanu Uday (Uday Saxena) are a happily married couple living in Mumbai. Uday, a mechanical engineer, works at a private company and they are living a perfect life with their four year old son Sunny.
One day, while coming back from a party, they are involved in a major road accident in which the other driver dies on Ayeshas' windshield, an incident that plays on her mind and depresses her.
When Uday's boss offers him the job of managing a Jabalpur factory, he accepts the opportunity to give Ayesha a change of atmosphere.
Uday becomes busy with his job and rearranging their life. Ayesha starts to feel the presence of someone in the house that no one else can. Her fears grow and she starts behaving in a bizarre manner.

Titli Team part of FICCI event at Cannes


Titli is the only film that has got an official entry to Cannes from India.

Not just that, FICCI also opened its Indian Pavilion and did their first panel discussion with the Titli team.

Avatar Panesar from YRF, Kanu Behl the director of Titli, Shashank Arora, Ranvir Shorey and Guneet Monga, the international sales agent for Titli were present for the panel discussion.

Panel discussion was followed by a cocktail party that was hosted by FICCI in honour of Titli.

Entire Indian contingent including film makers and actors were present to congratulate and honour Titli's achievement. To be selected as one of the 18 films in Uncertain Regard is a huge achievement.

Kanu Behl at the panel discussion was heard saying that 
"The film had to be accidental – the edit and the execution was designed that way."

"Its the best written work to have come to me and I had to do this and grabbed it with both hands" says Ranvir Shorey.

"While YRF and DBP may appear to be very different companies on the face of it, the fact is that both are only driven by one vision – to see, good stories told better on screen… Everything stems from the creative – commerce only comes in to the equation later" says Avtar.

Deepika Padukone wanted to celebrate the first anniversary of YJHD, but cancelled it for a family trip

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani completes one year on 31st May 2014 and Deepika Padukone wishes she could have been here on the anniversary of the film.

Deepika Padukone was very keen to celebrate the one year anniversary of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with her YJHD team as the film is extremely special with her working with Karan and Ayan for first time. All of them - Kalki, Aditya, Kunal, Ranbir & Ayan all became good friends while shooting the film.

However the actress will not be able to do so as she takes off for her month long vacation with her family.

It has been a busy year for the actress and before she gets into yet another busy year shooting films back to back, she planned this trip.

The entire team had a blast shooting the film and would love to have got together to celebrate the most loved film of the year.

Especially the simplicity and innocence with which Deepika portrayed her character in the film,it is most remembered apart from her Om Shanti Om character. Her fans constantly refer to her as Naina.
Spokesperson of Deepika confirmed the news and shared, "YJHD is a very special film for Deepika and she is thinking of a special way to mark the occasion "

Shraddha Kapoor approached by music companies

Shraddha Kapoor who played the dynamic singer in Aashiqui 2 gained a lot of success from the film. Taking her character forward in her real life the actress is also debuting with singing in her upcoming film Ek Villain.

The actress has impressed a lot of people from the industry who have got a chance to listen to her song which she has sung in her upcoming film.

So much so that the actress has been approached by a few music companies to get Shraddha on board to sing for them. But the actress wants to focus on acting as it is the beginning of her career.

Not many know Shraddha comes from a music family. A lot of her family members are singers. Shraddha herself is a trained singer.

Lapataganj – Ek Baar Phir is a lively TV series which shows daily life happenings in a small village and the funny happenings amongst the different families that reside in it.

Rohitash Gaud plays the character of Mukundilal Sughandhilal Gupta, an upright government clerk with a refined set of moral values. Mukundi is an intelligent person and is always helpful towards his neighbours and other village folks. In the on-going track, a fake god-man comes to Lapataganj and proclaims that the Hanuman statue situated in the village is of historical importance and a temple needs to be built around it. The real agenda of the fake god-man is to oust Mukundi from Lapataganj.  The atmosphere on sets and on the show was pretty gloomy with mixed feelings on whether or not Mukundi will really leave, since the character is inseparable and synonymous with Lapataganj.

Rohitash said, “As per the recent track, a fake god-man tries to oust me from Lapataganj and almost succeeds in his dastardly endeavour. During the shoot, I was sitting along with a few other co-stars and they were discussing how different Lapataganj would be without Mukundi’s presence. Some of them said that Mukundi is the backbone of Lapataganj in a way as the character is upright and idealistic in his thoughts and actions. I was elated when my co-actors shared their thoughts about the role that I play in Lapataganj.
