Actor Director Mahesh Manjrekar unveiled the Music of Marathi Film “3:56 Killari”

Well known actor director Mahesh Manjrekar released music of Marathi film “3:56 Killari” on auspicious day of Asadhi Ekadashi 27^th July 2015, at Levo Banquet, Mumbai. Wherein entire production team and cast were present except Jackie Shroff and Saee Tamhankar owing to their prior commitments. The film is Produced by Girish Sathe, Directed by Deepak Bhagwat and Vijay Mishra having Jackey Shroff, Saee Tamhankar, child actress Gauri Ingawale, Anurag Sharma, Pankaj Vishnu, Shrikant Moghe, Rama Joshi & others in important roles.“3:56 Killari” is made under the banner of DG's Entertainment.

Film’s subject is based on result of tremendous earthquake happened in village Killari of Latur district, where many innocent people were killed, many stories were behind each of them. This film picks a story of a girl who was dead in this earthquake and has born again in nearby village, she remembers herself by her old name, and she goes to find out about herself, where she is helped by Saee Tamhankar and Jackie Shroff, entire story cannot be revealed, it should be watched on Big screen. Performances of Jackey Shroff, Sai Tamhankar, Gauri, Anurag, Pankaj and all other actors are mind blowing.

फिल्म की कहानी बरसो पहले, महाराष्ट्र के लातूर जिला में आये भूकम्प से सम्भंदित है, उस समय लातूर जिले के एक गाँव किल्लारी में भी असंख्य लोग मरे थे, उन्ही में से एक लड़की मरणोपरान्त, पुनर्जन्म लेती है व उसे अपने पूर्व जन्म की बातें भी याद है, लिहाजा वो अपने आप को तलाश करना चाहती है, रहस्य और रोमांच से भरी इस कहानी में उस लड़की का साथ जैकी और साईं देते हैं। फिल्म की पूरी कहानी नहीं बताई जा सकती, इसे परदे पर ही देखा जा सकता है।

Vinod Khanna to play Buddha in Amrapali!

Director Atul Garg has roped in senior star Vinod Khanna to play Buddha in his film, Amrapali, that went on the floors recently. The filmmaker shares that it was the veteran actor’s personality and spiritual background that made him the first choice. “Vinodji has the rare combination of a regal aura and a calm demeanor that can only come with a background of practicing meditation and having a spiritual thought process. There is no actor who would not want to play the role of Buddha, but Vinodji was perfect for the role. It would take any other actor months to prepare and attain the calm and meditative state, but it would be easier for Vinodji as he is already into vipassana. His spiritual background and awareness because of all the time he spent with Jiddu Krishnamurti and Osho makes it easy for him to get into the character. Only a seeker of truth can understand Buddha's philosophy,” explains Garg. The director adds that the star was equally excited about the subject when he sent him the script in March and he is well aware of the philosophies too. They will start shooting sometime early next month. “I'll need to shoot with Vinodji for at least a month,” says the director. Talking about the film, Garg shares that unlike Lekh Tandon's 1966 Sunil Dutt-Vyjayanthimala starrer, Amrapali, which was primarily a love story, this film is a social commentary on an era when Buddha ruled as a spiritual king. “It is not Amrapali’s story, but a story about Amrapali’s time,” he adds.

Newbie Jinal Pandya will be playing the `bride of Vaishali' Amrapali, who mesmerised several royals with her beauty but was herself so influenced by Buddha after serving him a meal that she renounced her position as state courtesan to become his active supporter.

The year 2015 has been a prosperous year for the Entertainment industry and the month of July has been an unprecedented season for the box office with multiple films doing well. 

The film's have also managed to make and break a few records, some with their content and some with their uniqueness.

Not only have the films been commercially successful, but the content has been universally appreciated too.

This has created a bottleneck at the box office and rather than clogging it further, the makers of Bangistan have decided to shift their release date to August 7, which gives it a much better release environment. 

The film has been buzzing positively and it would much rather utilise a solo release date.

Says co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani, “Last few releases are rocking the box office collections, which is great for our industry and since our film is tracking well, my distribution team strongly believes that releasing Bangistan on August 7 will be beneficial for our film.“

The actress was completely shattered by the loss of her dog and decided to channel that energy into something positive - Esha Gupta has decided to open a fund in her dog's name,proceeds of which will go towards the betterment of animal shelters.

Says a source, " Esha is in talks with a few animal shelters in south bombay. She will be opening a fund in the name of her late pet and the money generated will be donated to needy animal shelters for better accommodation and food for the dogs sheltered there.

Shamita Shetty performs on dance reality show despite nose injury !

Shamita Shetty who is one of the most popular contestants on dance reality show, Jhalak Dikkhala Ja Reloaded, recently met with an injury during the rehearsals of her routine .The actress,however, has decided to go on with her performance, so as to not let down her fans.

Shamita recently injured her nasal bone during rehearsals and was bleeding profusely from the cut on the dorsum of the nose. She was diagnosed with a nasal bone fracture and also had to have a couple of stitches.

Though the doctor has advised Shamita complete best rest for 2 weeks to allow proper healing, she is continuing to perform despite injury as she does not want to upset her supporters.

Says Shamita Shetty, " Yes I have fractured my nasal bone but my performance is more important.The kind of love and support I've received from viewers is humbling and I do not want to let them down."

The rising star Antara Banerjee’s journey from TV to films

A bubbly, enthusiastic and full of energy girl from Kolkata, Antara Banerjee is a complete go-getter. Antara dreams of becoming a successful actor and making big in Bollywood.

Through a career that has seen a steady trickle of few cameos in Hindi films, but none that particularly nailed her as a big-star - Antara is as real as a Mumbai matinee girl can get. Antara’s personal compass seems to have led her into a comfortable work-life space.

On the work-front, she’s exploring Hindi cinema - her first Hindi film by DLB Productions will portray her as lead actress opposite actor Ashutosh Kaushik. The film which is recently being shot at Jaipur, Amritsar and Mumbai, will be released soon. Antara is all excited to bag the dream role of her life. “This is the first film where I will be playing the lead role. She is a media person and a true Indian, exploring the various facets of India. It’s a patriotic film, portraying what it takes to enhance the image of our country on an international map,” narrates Antara.     

A Bengali girl belonging to a humble family background from Kolkata came to Mumbai few years back. “It was my passion to become an actress which brought me to the city of dreams. To pursue my ambition of becoming an actress, I had to leave school post-grade 12,” says Antara.

The only daughter of Subrata and Atasi Banerjee, Antara shifted to Mumbai in 2013 and started pursuing her BSW (Bachelor in Social Work) from Nirmala Niketan College. But her long-hours of shooting for TV serials left her with no time to pursue her studies. However, her strong belief of continuing education opened-up several avenues. Antara is currently pursuing her correspondence course in English Literature from IGNOU.

After doing cameos in Akshay kumar starring movie, ‘Shaukeen’ and a few ad commercials, Antara burst onto the small screen in Balaji Telefilm’s teenage crime show, ‘Gumrah’, Life OK’s ‘Savadhaan India’, Franklin Production’s fictional shows and many more. Antara had also taken up modeling assignments for TVC brands in the past.

Known as a perfect sporty go-getter, Antara believes that eventually, the winner takes it all. “Don’t think too much about what is happening to you. Work hard, give it your best shot. Do the job you like, enjoy your life but never give up your work. If work is fun, if your days are passing quickly, you must be happy, right?” says the chirpy Antara.

The film’s team has adopted a new technique for the film. While usually makers cut promos from the film itself, Nikhil Advani has especially shot with Imran and Kangana  for a couple of promos.

Not just that, these promos have released exclusively on the digital platform.

The promos were made keeping in mind the plot of the film and explaining the concept of Katti Batti.

Nikhil Advani says, “The digital space is consistently growing and so the idea of investing in shooting of the promos especially for this space was a fruitful one.”

He further added, “Majority of the people today consume information online.”

Sonam goes on a digital detox !

Sonam Kapoor who loves traveling and is quite the adventure junkie, has all this while not had the time to explore her hobby thanks to her choc-o-bloc schedule. 

The actress however, recently went back packing for a week in Ladakh, where she visited the old monasteries and interacted with the locals.

Most interestingly , Sonam who loves interacting with her friends and fans on social media, decided to take a digital detox and backpacked across Ladakh minus her phone.She now plans to travel to Cambodia (south East Asia)in 2 months. 

Says a source, " Sonam wanted to unwind and backpack across Ladakh as that's something she wanted to do for the longest time. As soon as she found an open window she packed her bags and headed up north.She also decided to go on a digital detox and kept herself away from all kinds of technology including her ipad and phone.The next trip on her to-do list is Cambodia, which she plans to travel to in 2 months."

Balaji Motion Pictures to rope in an international wrestler for A Flying Jatt?

While Remo’s ambitious project, A Flying Jatt features Tiger Shroff playing a superhero for the first time alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, there have already been speculations regarding the villain of the superhero flick.

If sources are to be believed, Balaji and Remo are keen to rope in an international wrestler to play super villain who will take on superhero Tiger in the movie. Shubhodip, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures confirms, “Yes , we're in talks with international federations for this. 26/11 masterminds to play villains in Phantom. 

Phantom is Sajid Nadiadwala's upcoming action thriller which revolves around global terrorism. The film is an adaptation of S. Hussain Zaidi's recent novel (with Gabriel Khan), Mumbai Avengers.

The film has been shot in Lebanon, Syria, the UK, Canada and India. Indian locations include Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab's Malerkotla.

The espionage drama featuring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif wrapped up in Mumbai, last September.

Phantom involves pivotal characters that have been named after David Headley and Sajid Mir and two others modelled on Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi

The film is based on the series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks in Mumbai which took place on November 26, 2008 ,which continued for the next four days and was led by Ten members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Ajmal Kasab one of the 10 terrorists captured alive was hanged on November 21, 2012. But many of the masterminds got away.

Headley, the Pakistani-American LeT terrorist, is currently serving a 35-year-sentence but Sajid Mir, who allegedly was Headley's handler, has vanished. According to intelligence provided by the Mossad, he is holed up in Muridke near Lahore.

The mastermind of the 26/11 attacks, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, is also supposed to be living in a safe house near Lahore.

In Hussain's novel, five years after the attacks, a retired army officer spearheads a covert mission with a team of daredevil agents to seek out and kill these terror masterminds, one by one, making sure that the assassinations look like natural deaths. The best-selling author has collaborated on the screenplay and the terror suspects have found their way into the fictional plot. These include David Headley and Sajid Mir.

A spokesperson confirms the news and says,“Yes, there are characters named after both these men. He is one of the four main villains in the film, but his name has been changed to Sabauddin Umvi. One of the other bad guys is modelled after Hafiz Saeed, the founder of the banned Lashkar-eTaiba which carried out the audacious attacks. However, to ensure that the content doesn't get too explosive and there are no diplomatic issues with Pakistan, the makers have prudently decided to change his name to Harif Saeed. But viewers will be left in little doubt about who these two characters are inspired by.“

Pakistan Bans Bangistan

Makers of Bangistan are keen on screening the film in Pakistan.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan, may have set the cash counters ringing across the border, but the Riteish Deshmukh-Pulkit Samrat satire, Bangistan, has been banned in Pakistan. This decision comes as a surprise to them, the film's co-producer, Ritesh Sidhwani, will fight it out. 

"Basing their judgement on the trailer alone, they have decided that the film is anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim. If anything, it's anti-terrorism and since Pakistan is as much a victim of this global menace as any other country, it is in their interest to screen the film. It's message is that it's foolish to give up your life for a cause you'll not live to fight for," says Sidhwani. Ritesh has written to the ministry asking for a review of the decision. 

He has applied for visas, for himself, director Karan Anshuman and his actors, Riteish and Pulkit, to visit the country, if only for a day. "I'd like to show the film to the ministry and the censor boards to prove that our intentions are fair," he says. 

Bangistan is about two suicide bombers, Hafeez Bin Ali/ Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish) and Allah Rakha Khan/ Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit), who've been brainwashed into an explosive mission but eventually realise the death wish is futile exercise. Ritesh argues that such suicide pacts are common to both countries and the need of the hour is to show brainwashed youngsters that it's a path to nowhere. 

Riteish and Pulkit’s quirky music video in which they play Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein respectively might be one of the reasons the Pakistanis turned squeamish, Ritesh retorts, "The promotional video doesn't reflect the content. Our story is set in a fictitious country called Bangistan.''

Megacorp to be Directed by Nandita Singgha

The Hollywood film Megacorp Produced by a leading Production House in U.S will be Directed by Nandita Singgha who is better known as Michelle since its her birth name.There was a survey conducted and even a poll on a popular website regarding which Bollywood hero should be cast in this role of a hero opposite a leading Hollywood star as Villain.There would also be a leading Hollywood actress being cast opposite him.

It seems most of the people of India wanted to see Hrithik Roshan in this role of an Indian Gujarati Journalist.Moreover Megacorp could even be Hrithik's First Hollywood movie if things work out in his favour! Michelle (Nandita Singgha) has even attached Hrithik's recent Mountain Dew Ad with the tagline Darr ke aage Jeet hain to the Hollywood production company for approval to fix up a meeting with him through her team .

The Hollywood Production company was more in favour of Dev Patel because he has won several Awards for Slumdog millionaire as a lead actor like  Black Reel Award,Chicago Film Critics Association Award,National Board of Review ,Screen Actors Guild Award and he is genuinely a Gujarati. The Indian journalist has to be Gujarati but Michelle feels that without contacting and meeting Hrithik she shouldn't finalise regarding who should play the main lead.Maybe Hrithik might be asked to fly down to US for further discussion.
  

Dev Patel 

This will also give a bigger boost to the Indian film industry internationally and the shooting will happen in Namibia which will start from December 2016. So there is enough time for preparation for any actor . The Hollywood actress too will be finalised soon and then they will be making all official release next year in November 2016. So let's hope Hrithik Roshan gets the Hollywood ticket as the lead actor in Megacorp !

Micheal Pena gets involved in scripting for The Vatican Tapes

Horror fans in India are very excited about the release of The Vatican Tapes in the sub continent. This high concept horror film features much celebrated star-cast of Michael Pena, Djimon Hounsou and Dougray Scott . Olivia Taylor Dudley, established television actress in the US will be seen as the leading lady in Vatican Tapes. The Fury, star Michael Pena is playing a pivotal role in the film and Pena’s role has been much more than just acting. The movie is all set to hit theatres across India on 31st July, 2015, only a week after its U.S. release.

Micheal Pena  is essaying the role of Father Lorenzo, an ex- serviceman who has served two tours in Iraq and thereafter joined the local Church. The misery and horror of war lead him closer to god and he became a ‘Man of the cloth’.

 Peña was initially drawn to the film by the uniqueness of the script as well as his relationship with producers, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi. “I was initially interested in the script because it wasn’t written like a typical horror movie,” says Peña. “There were action sequences and unique elements to this thriller film, but they’re justified by the plot. I also have a longstanding relationship with Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi.”

Among all the characters, Father Lozano was the most layered and complex. His character needed the companion of a priest and the heart of a soldier. Father Lozano is the thread that binds all the characters and plot together. “The Vatican Tapes is brilliantly written screen play with multiple layers in storytelling and characters. I knew if I had to do justice to my part I would have to take some liberties and fine the character  how I see. Of course, Mark is a dream director to have and he and I were on the same page. Before all scenes, we would have a chat and would always take my suggestions as to how to go about the scene. What’s even more rewarding was that, he would often just ask me to shoot directly. He wanted to see how I envisioned the sequence and he would okay the take without any changes”, added Pena.

Neveldine recalls Peña’s impromptu contributions to the screenplay on set: “He actually tweaked a lot of the script lines. He responded to the character’s layers and took it to the next level by really expanding upon the role of Father Lozano. I think there were some layers of the character that we did not know existed till Michael played them out for us. It’s inviting someone to your own house and they end up showing u a part of the house you yourself did not know existed”.
