Mumbai 13th June 2015: After swaying the fans in 11 cities through the year, the biggest BDM (Bollywood Dance Music) festival in India Royal Stag MTV Bollyland concluded this year’s party with a flair! 13 singers, 5 DJs and one stage – the lethal combination of all three made waves at the grand finale of Royal Stag MTV Bollyland. The city of Mumbai witnessed sizzling performance by renowned Indian musicians such as Mika Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Shilpa Rao, Neha Kakkar, Akriti Kakkar, Armaan Malik, Nakash Aziz, Shabab Sabri, Shadab Faridi, Siddharth Mahadevan, Sreeram Chandra, Shama Sikandar Sham and Sonu Kakkar who performed at Royal Stag MTV Bollyland’s grand finale at the NSCI Stadium, Worli.

How Ranveer rocked Dil Dhadakne Do

Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do has been wowing audiences all over and while the entire ensemble cast is terrific in the film, Ranveer Singh has been singled out for his outstanding performance. As Kabir Mehra, the boy man of the family who still wants his plane over anything else, he brings the right doses of innocence and maturity to the difficult part and is splendid in every scene he appears in.

There’s an innocent, boyish quality to his humor and even his dancing. He’s terrific in one of the film’s best scenes, throwing caution to the wind, exposing his parents’ double standards with fiery intensity."

In their review, The Guardian pointed out: "(Ranveer) Singh, meanwhile, is busy making playboy Kabir’s smirks and sniggers unexpectedly winning: they seem positively revolutionary when set against his straight- or sad-faced elders, those of a young man tacking away from grim obligation and on towards happiness."

Ranveer's performance has also been hugely loved and lauded by the audiences who have been flocking to watch Dil Dhadakne Do. Bollywood stars usually avoid ensemble films but even in a pool of talent Ranveer has stepped out and smashed it out of the park. And made hearts beat like never before.

Priyanka is fearless: Rahul Bose

For the first time Rahul Bose is sharing screen space with Priyanka Chopra in Dil Dhadakne Do and the fresh pairing has already created buzz. Rahul is playing Priyanka’s on screen husband and talking about it, he says, “It will be difficult for me to name a harder working actress that I have worked with than Priyanka. Not only is she incredibly well-prepared, she is also instinctive, intuitive and fearless.” But the quality that he really appreciates is her team spirit. “She is a real team player on a set,” adds Rahul.

When asked about the on-set experience with his co-stars, the actor says, “It’s been one of the most satisfying film experiences. All the actors worked incredibly hard. Everyone came to the sets having done their homework and was open to improvisations. It was a great experience on and off screen.” So, was he surprised to see the hard work put in by the mainstream stars? “The credit should go to Zoya (director Zoya Akhtar) for believing in preparations and yet being so open to experiments.” On working with Zoya, he adds, “Zoya knows exactly what she wants, but is willing to experiment on how to get there. She will give an actor all the freedom the actor wants but she won’t compromise on the aim and intent of the scene. She has a clear idea of who each character is.” Talking about his own preparations for the role, he shares, “When I was doing the biography of the character with her before the movie was shot, we had the most fun, because both she and I have met people like this.”

Kangana Ranaut turns director for Katti Batti

We have all seen Kangana showcase her phenomenal acting skills in her recent hits. However, this time around for her next film, we will see the actress step on the other side of the camera.

We hear that the actress has directed the first 7 minutes of her upcoming film, Katti Batti, in which she will be seen starring opposite Imran Khan.

The shots directed by Kangana feature both Imran and Kangana herself. They are playful and intimate scenes between the two.

It's a sacrosanct be‎lief that no one on sets can touch the camera apart from the cinematographer. So Kangana took the cinematographer's blessing and gave him Re 1 to allow her to use the camera. 

It was shot in one take at one go. 

The director of the film Nikhil Advani and Imran Khan were so impressed with ‎Kangana as it was not simple feat to handle camera, act, and shoot Imran.  

It’s a seven minutes uncut sequence, I had to shoot it by holding the camera in my hands which was the demand of the script. It was nerve racking but actors can do anything for a director who shows trust and faith in his actor abilities. Nikhil is one such director” shares Kangana Ranaut.

Director Nikhil Advani adds, “One of my favorite scenes in the film is one in which Kangana's character is shooting Imran playfully with an iPad. I wanted the scene to be authentic and organic so Tushar the DOP suggested that we should allow Kangana to shoot it herself. The lighting was completed, the set was cleared out and Kangana has shot the scene like a pro adding one more talent to her already overflowing basket.”

Swara proves to be a scene stealer yet again:

Swara Bhaskar has proven that her talent knows no bounds, not even the length of the role. The talented Raanjhanaa and Listen Amaya actress, was recently seen in her old role as straight speaking Payal in 2015's first blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

While Swara's role was brief, it seems her performance and magnetic screen presence has caught eyeballs and appreciation. While Twitterati has been abuzz and fans have written in warmly praising her performance, looks like the royalty of Bollywood has also taken notice.

Ridhima in demand

Ridhima Sud, with her bangs and soulful eyes, is getting appreciation and applause from the global film fraternity for her sparkling debut as Noorie Sood in Zoya's Dil Dhadakne Do.

The Delhi girl who has a double-major in Political Science and Economics from New York University feels very lucky to have  landed up in this big Bollywood movie with a cast of stalwarts and working for her favourite director.

“I come from a conservative Punjabi family who couldn't believe a girl from their clan had an acting plan. My father is a businessman. But my mother’s family including my mother, is filled with academicians. Interest in acting is the last thing they expected from me,” says Ridhima who took off  to NY for a degree before arriving in Bollywood.

Ridhima landed the role of Noorie, the gorgeous daughter of a rich industrialist on board a luxury ship, after only one audition. Personally she didn't think her audition went well but she was lucky that Zoya saw something that convinced her of Noorie. Auditioning is an art form in itself adds the young girl who claims to be terrible at it. The casting director can really make or break your audition and in this case Nandini Shrikent was instrumental in helping her get the part.

She already has a three film deal with the makers of Vicky Donor of which one is already complete and she is really excited to start work on the next.

With Zoya Akhtar as her mentor and guide, Ridhima Sud is all set to make her own path in Bollywood.

Vidya Balan recently traveled to Bhopal along with director Mohit Suri and producer Mahesh Bhatt as they organized a special screening of the upcoming love drama Humari Adhuri Kahani for Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his family.

Chauhan and his wife Sadhna who are deep admirers of Vidya's work, gifted the actress a traditional Maheshwari and Chanderi saree, which are a part of the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

Raj Kundra throws Shilpa Shetty Kundra a Gatsby style birthday bash !

Doting husband Raj Kundra, recently organized a Gatsby style birthday surprise for wife , Shilpa Shetty Kundra, as she turned 40 this year - A celebration like never before, Kundra organized the surprise party month's in advance, booking an exotic location and flying down Shilpa's closest friends and family to a secluded island for a 3- day grand celebration.

Raj flew 30 guests to Sveti Stefan, a 15th century island in Montenegro (Montenegro is a small Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline)* for two nights and three days of complete madness, fun & partying.

Completing unaware of the celebration, Shilpa flew from London to the island, and was brought blind-folded to the venue by Raj, where her guests waited to spring the surprise on her at the 15th century fortress ,at a high-tea gathering.

This was followed by a Bond-themed party in the evening, where men wore tuxedos and women wore their high-end gowns at Royal Blue Garden, Villa Milocer.

Celebrations continued on Day - 2 with an extravagant breakfast ,followed by a barbecue party at the Queen's Private Beach - the day rounded up with a dinner celebration at Aman Sveti Stefan 's signature restaurant , one that had been visited by several Hollywood stars in the past.

Not only did Raj personally look into the itenary and ensured his guests were well looked after but also made a short film for Shilpa with videos of her friends and family wishing her a happy birthday and recapping their unforgettable memories with the birthday girl.

George Clooney has ‘The Talk’ with Mae Whitman’s Boyfriend

The adorable child actor from ‘Independence Day’ and ‘One Fine Day’ Mae Whitman has graduated to the role with the latest youth cult film, The DUFF “DESIGNATED UGLY FAT FRIEND”. The Movie has been pegged as the next “Mean Girls”. The Movie captures the journey of a young girl who has been branded the DUFF of her group and her struggle to break fee from the high school tag.

She thinks her work as a child actor both added to the bullying and helped her deal with it. “I’d be like, ‘Sorry you don’t like the shoes I wore, but I have to get up tomorrow and go to work, and I don’t have time to let that affect me.' ”

Mae has been making mark for herself as an actress for some time now. The actress has a pivotal role in the Emmy nominated series ‘Parenthood’ and “arrested Development”.

One of her early jobs was in 1996’s “One Fine Day,” playing George Clooney’s daughter. The two have remained close. “He’s the coolest, nicest guy on the planet,” she says. “I saw him a few years ago, when I was dating my now-ex-boyfriend, and he took the guy around the corner and gave him a talking-to — he warned him not to break my heart. He’s really the best.”

That romance ended, and now she’s in a better one, she says. “I’m dating a musician who’s really smart and nice, and it’s a cool adult relationship,” she says. “I realize I sound like I’m 10 years old, but it feels really healthy and respectful. I have been in a lot of tumultuous relationships.”

हृतिक रोशन और विवेक ओबेरॉय दोनों ने कृष 3 यह सूपर हिट फिल्म दी है, इस फिल्म के बाद भी उनका मेलजोल कायम रहा वे दोनों की दोस्ती देखते है समझती है. फिलहाल दोनों भी आईफा के लिये मलेशिया मे है.

इस मौके पर विवेक और हृतिक उनके कमरे मे पार्टी मना रहे थे कुछ देर बाद और कई बॉलीवुड की हस्तियां भी इस पार्टी मे शामिल हुई. इन हस्तियों मे लॉरेन भी शामिल थी यह कुछ समय बाद विवेक को पता चला साथ उन्हे यह भी समझ आया की आज लॉरेन का जन्मदिन है तो क्या दोनों दोस्तो ने तुरंत ही केक का ऑर्डर  दे दिया जब की तब होटेल बँद था और सुबह के 4 बज रहे थे. होटेल ने तुरंत ही केक बनाया और बाद मे लॉरेन का जन्मदिन मनाया गया. लॉरेन बॉलीवुड मे नयी है फ़िर भी इन दो कलाकारों का स्वभाव देख वह बेहद चौकी और प्रभावित हुई.

लॉरेन कहती है "यह पार्टी मुझे हमेशा याद रहेगी जिस तरह विवेक और हृतिक ने मेरा जन्मदिन मनाया मे सोच भी नही.उन्होने सुबह के 4 बजे केक मंगवाया साथ ही मेरे लिये गाये भी. यह मेरे लिये बेहद खास रहा. मे इन दोनों के काम की बड़ी प्रशंषक हू और उनके और से यह मेरे लिये एक तोहफ़ा है.

Virendra K. Arora and Arjun N.Kapoor betting big on Bollywood with Kamal Haasan's Hindi starrer ‘Amar Hai’

Mumbai, June 8, 2015: Legendary actor-director, Kamal Haasan is set to make a Bollywood film ‘Amar Hai’, anaction thriller produced by Virendra K. Arora and Arjun N.Kapoor. Slated to be a dual hero starrer, the film will see Saif Ali Khan sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan in this poignant story that touches upon the modern-day politics, finance and the underworld.

“Amar Hai is special to us in many ways” said the producers. One, it is that iconic project which is sure to mark the much-awaited Kamal Haasan working for Hindi cinema. Two, the film will see Kamal Hasaan wearing multiple hats, that of an actor and a director on a story penned by him. And three, from the outset of scripting this film since the past 6 years, Kamal Haasan has had Saif Ali Khan in mind for the lead role and the actor has been clued in about his involvement on the mega project.

The story travels from Mumbai to North India and traverses some picturesqueinternational cities as the plot progresses. . The producers along with the film’s mastermind Kamal Haasan are exploring shooting locations in Mumbai, Delhi, London, Dubai, Jordan and parts of the US.

Kamal Haasan fans will see the legend play a multi-layered characterin the film. “My character though not that of a conventional antagonist would present a point of view that is far from ordinary” said the icon. Saif Ali Khan will reportedly play the lead protagonist opposite Kamal Haasan. Two female actresses are soon going to join the ensemble cast.

Rajkumar Rao to be seen in multiple looks in his upcoming film, Mohit Suri’s, Hamari Adhuri Kahani.

We have seen the young actor play different characters in his earlier films. This time around, the National Award winner has various looks in one film. He will also be seen playing multiple aged characters.

From a clean shaven young guy look to the look with long untidy hair to an older character look, Rajkumar Rao carries every look just how it is required.

It will be for the first time that the young actor will go grey for his film. For a part in the film, Rajkumar Rao will be carrying the salt and pepper look.

They tried various looks before finalizing these looks for the actor.

Rajkumar Rao loves experimenting and is always open to trying different things.
