Trailer launch of film Hunterrr

Phantom Films has yet another creative film in their hat. The production house will be next seen working on a coming of age film called Hunterrr.

The film had its trailer launch yesterday at Juhu. The film has an ensemble cast of some very talented artists.

Hunterrr is about the life of a guy called Mandar Ponkshe and his quirky ways of getting a girl. Gulshan Devaiah will be seen playing the role of Mandar.

Present at event were Vikramaditya Motvane, Vikas Bahl, Gulshan Devaiah, Harshvardhan Kulkarni, Veera Sexana, Khamosh Shah, among others.

Govinda launches the trailer of Ganesh Acharya starrer 'Hey Bro'

It was an evening to remember, where Govinda graced the event, to launch the trailer of Ganesh Acharya's upcoming film HEY BRO.

We will be seeing Masterji playing the lead role in the film, along with actors Maninder and Nupur Sharma.

Also present at the trailer launch were veteran actor Prem Chopra, Mika Singh, Mahie Gill, Hanif Hilal and many more

Shraddha Kapoor missed her car while she was in Vegas

The young actress, who was in Vegas recently for a schedule of her upcoming next film ABCD 2, missed having her own car around while she was there.

The car is extremely special for the actress as it is the first car which she bought with her own money.

While she was traveling in the beautiful city there, she wished to get on the driving seat but she could not. That is when she missed her car as she would be most comfortable driving her own car.

She bought the car after a lot of thought as per her parents' choice.

The actress has just returned from Vegas after wrapping the shoot. She kickstarts her next schedule of the film in Bombay.

Shraddha will be showcasing her dance skills in this film and is very excited about it.

Huma goes on a shopping spree

Huma Qureshi went on a shopping spree in Dubai.

After spending a busy 2014, Huma Qureshi took some time off.

The actress flew to Dubai to bring in new years and then extended her stay.

Huma did not have a fixed itinerary but went around exploring the place.

Infact she had dedicated a whole day for shopping and went on a shopping spree.

However, till the end of the day she did not manage to complete even half of the mall and so dutifully returned the next day to complete her shopping.

Huma thoroughly enjoyed her time shopping and loved the Christmas collection available there.

The malls had lovely décor for the festivities which only added to the charm.

NEW DELHI, January 13, 2015: In a day and age when we are faced with innumerable instances of brutality of the mind and body being carried out against people across the world, hope starts dwindling easily. At a time when human frailties are unable to stand up to the constant badgering by the world and by one’s own mind itself, what is a person to do? Urging people to break their silence on issues by providing various perspectives on these very important yet oft ignored questions was COLORS, the channel known for creating meaningful entertainment through a panel discussion on ‘Battling Demons: Inner and Outer’ held at Hindu College in Delhi on the occasion on the launch of their new show Code Red that deals with issues such as suicides, entrapment and violence against women and children.

Be it, demons of insecurity, low self-esteem, inferiority complex or the demons that steal our children and sell them off to brothels, we are never really free of them. But are we, the smart ones, really equipped to deal with any of these demons? Can we step outside the shadow of our own prejudices and doubts to listen to that inner voice coaxing us to take action? Are we willing to give hope a chance? Providing their invaluable views and suggestions on the need to instill hope in the victims and motivate them to speak up about the issues they are facing were a prominent group of extremely qualified people that included none other than social activist and Retired Indian Police Service Officer - Kiran Bedi; BJP Spokesperson and  President of Mahila Morcha Delhi Pradesh - Kanwaljeet Sherawat; Senior Journalist - Nalini Singh; Head of Twitter in India – Rishi Jaitly; Actress Tisca Chopra, Actor Manish Chaudhari, Senior High Court Lawyer – Rita Kumar, Addiction and Wellness Counselor - Vijay Simha. The discussion was moderated by RJ Richa Anirudh.

Actress Tisca Chopra spoke about issues she faced while growing up. “There were a lot of restrictions posed on me while I was in college which I didn’t like. But over time I realized that our parents are our support system and it’s better to get them on your side and take them along with you.”

Talking about Code Red which is slated to premiere on 19th January at 10:30PM on COLORS, the face of the show, actor Manish Chaudhari spoke about how television is a great medium to spread awareness. He said, “The show aims to be an enabler of change and in order to see that change we need to be the change ourselves.”

BJP Spokesperson and President of Mahila Morcha Delhi Pradesh - Kanwaljeet Sherawat said, ”Today’s youth is more alert and exposed and they have a mind of their own. We urge the parents to guide their children in a friendly way and understand their point of view rather than impose their career or personal choices upon them”

Noted journalist Nalini Singh spoke about the internal and external demons and how people are locked up in their own personal jail and refuse to speak up. She said, ”These days we are victims of raging aspirations and instant fame. We want people to judge us by what we appear to be rather than who we actually are. The solution to all this lies within ourselves. Being helpless won’t help.”

Talking about how social media can be used as an effective platform to voice such issues said Rishi Jaitly, “Twitter is a great source of personal as well as collective strength. You begin to develop your voice through Twitter and once your tweet travels into the public domain, you understand that your grief is probably a shared grief and sharing often proves to be therapeutic.”

Addiction and Wellness counsellor Vijay Simha threw light on how it is embarrassing for people in our society to talk about sex and drugs. “We will not get a solution till we talk. I urge people not to shy away from such problems and speak up.”

Moderated by RJ Richa Anirudh, the forum led to a fruitful discussion as measures for a better tomorrow were being deliberated. #KhamoshiTodo urged the netizens to send in their queries for the panelists on these internal and external demons while the forum was on.

Senior High Court Lawyer, Rita Kumar applauded COLORS for creating Code Red, a platform where issues that are swept under the carpet are discussed openly in order to find solutions for them.

Through this discussion, the esteemed panelists threw light upon the strength of the human spirit when faced with dire circumstances where bleakness reigns supreme. The panel touched upon issues such as suicide, violence against women and children and various forms of entrapment such as being trapped in a bad relationship or being subjected to subtle sexual harassment at work. The panel also outlined a set of basic steps that people can follow in order to do make themselves heard and urged people to break their silence by promoting the Twitter hashtag #KhamoshiTodo.

Code Red attempts to understand human frailties amidst the daily struggles of life and how people react to situations beyond their control. The show, through different perspectives, showcases the steps that people are likely to take when they are pushed into situations where a breakdown is imminent. Code Red will be focusing on three main aspects of human frailties namely: Suicide, Violence against Women and Children and Entrapment. Code Red will attempt, not only to showcase these stories but to make people believe that there is hope, only if they choose to break the silence through #KhamoshiTodo.

Imran Khan to spend his birthday with daughter Imara

Imran Khan who celebrates his birthday today, has altered his plans to spend time with daughter Imara.

This time it's a very special birthday for the newly turned dad as he will have Imara for company this year.

The actor has been shooting for his next Katti Batti and has not been able to spend enough time with his daughter, due to his schedule.

On his birthday, Imran Khan has taken a day off and has planned an entire day to spend with his daughter.

He wants to be around Imara and wants to do something special. 

He had been disusing the same with wife Avantika and they were even planning a brief getaway from the city but then decided otherwise. 

When contacted Imran shares, "I have taken the day off shoot. It is going to be a special birthday and I am going to spend time with Imara. I don’t have concrete plans but mostly it will be an early family dinner.”

KUSHAL'S CRAZIEST CUKKAD FAMILY

                   Kushal Punjabi who worked in Bollywood movies like ' Kaal ' and      ' Lakshya ', is returning to the big screen after a gap of seven years with

 ' Crazy Cukkad Family ', which he says will mark his comeback to movies. Kushal said he became an actor accidentally and has made a few wrong choices in early career, but he will only try and improve on his mistakes in his second innings.

" I have done a few mistakes before. I never wanted to become a full-fledged actor. I always wanted to do choreography and dancing. Then by chance i did some music videos. I got into films post that ... And then other films followed. I didn't realise that in the film industry if someone doesn't star as a hero, he can never become one. That was the mistake I made, " Kushal said.

" I feel I will choose better now. This is what I have learnt. I will improve on the wrong choices that I have made in my career. So thats it. ' Crazy Cukkad Family' is a great comeback for me, he said.

 ' Crazy Cukkad Family' has been directed by debutante Ritesh Menon and has been produced by Prakash Jha . It also stars Swanand Kirkire, Shilpa Shukla, Siddarth Sharma among others and will hit theatres on January 16.

The movie is a story about four estranged children, who come together for their ailing father in hope that he dies soon so his wealth will be theirs. Kushal plays one of the siblings.

" My character is the youngest brother to swanand kirkire and shilpa shukla . I play a very dumb guy, who can't think fast. He is greedy just like his other mad siblings, he said.

Besides starring in the film, Kushal is also behind conceiving the story idea and writing it with Suhas Shetty. 

" I wrote the idea with my co-writer Suhas Shetty. Ritesh came in later and he further developed the story. Then Prakash ji came on board. I find it surreal that something that I wrote is now a film. " He said adding he will continue writing from now on. 

" I am open to do many series. I am not sure about daily soaps. I auditioned for 24, but i did not get a part as I was a little old for that part. I am doing a new show titled ' Time machine'. It is not a daily soap, it is a big budget show on time travel and I have just signed a Hollywood Film, the suspense of which I would be revealing soon." Kushal said.

USA Premiere of ​Margarita with a Straw

Premiering in the United States of America at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Margarita with a Straw received yet another standing ovation.

The festival received entries from across various countries and screened 192 films from around the world out of which Margarita with a Straw got selected amongst the top five films by the audiences. 
In fact, the organizers of the festival will be showing the film again as a repeat to highlight the best in the fest!

Margarita with a Straw continues to win accolades across geographies. The film previously bagged the NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) award for Best Asian Film at the 39th Toronto International Film Festival. After a 2 year hiatus music directors sidhartha suhas are back with prakash jha's crazy cukkad family. It is a comedy film about a dysfunctional family and the duo got a chance to experiment with some crazy sounds and lyrics. the title track crazy cukkad family was a fun track to do. 

Lyricist swanand kirkire who plays the role of pawan beri in the film, was in the studio and on the spot created all the rooster sounds for the track. lyricist kumarr sang an opening impromptu. the song party ka hero has a kannada sample in it and is a breakbeat track with some very interesting lyrics. party ka hero was an old track of sidhartha suhas and they had composed the original as a tribute to rajnikant. chand yeh is a soulful track which the duo had also composed a long time ago. kumaar's lyrics and swan and kirkire's vocals al added up to make this composition a stunner. chand yeh is currently rising up in the charts.yeh dil jaane na the only romantic song in the album is a feel good jazz song with very minimal arrangements..  sexywala pakoda performed by siddhartha suhaas is a spoof on all the item songs.overall the duo have come up with a light fun album in tune with the comedy film.

Aamir Khan sends legal notice to Pakistani websites over Fake interview

Aamir Khan sends legal notice to websites for carrying his fabricated interview.

The actor was in for a shock recently when he read some websites carrying a fake interview with reference to his latest film PK, credited to him.

The interview carried by Pakistani websites in the name of religion and Islam was a fabricated one in attempt to impersonate him.‎

As soon as Aamir got to know about this, his legal team took a swift action and sent notices to all these websites. In fact, the notice was sent to them within 48 hours of them learning about this. ‎

Fake interviews and impersonations are taken very seriously by the actor as they are slanderous. In the recent past too, in a similar case of fake and slandering messages on social media by an impersonator, Aamir Khan filed a Police complaint. Mumbai Police Cyber Cell had taken prompt action and arrested two people.‎‎

Anand Desai, Managing Partner of DSK Legal shares, “Mr. Aamir Khan was shocked to find an interview attributed to him on several websites on the internet in relation to his latest film “PK”. He has never given such an interview. It is clearly a fabrication by someone trying to impersonate him, done with the intent of drawing visitors to their website, and is defamatory to our client. An attempt to impersonate our client is a very serious matter and we intend to take it to its logical end.  Today we sent legal notices on behalf of Mr. Khan to the following, in which we have stated that the publication of the fake interview amounts to offences of impersonation, defamation and under the Information Technology Act, 2000 –

He further added, “The impersonation is a very serious infringement of our client’s rights, and we will take legal recourse. Mr. Khan will be filing a criminal complaint with the Cybercrime Cell, Mumbai Police after he returns to Mumbai.”

PK has made, Friday 1.82 , Saturday 2.82 + Sunday 4.01 crs. Total is 328.78 crs India net. 

Shraddha Kapoor overwhelmed for winning the Shining Superstar Award.

The young actress has had a super successful last year with her film Ek Villain entering the 100 crore club and Haider getting immense love and appreciation from audiences as well as critics.

With this, the actress has a commercially and a critically successful film to her credit.

Apart from 2014 being a fantastic year for Shraddha Kapoor with the films, the actress also made her singing debut with Galliyan Unplugged.

After hectic schedules Shahid gets ME time

Shahid Kapoor has finally got some time to himself.

Shahid had a very hectic 2014. He was busy almost all year round.

While the year was packed with shooting schedules and film promotions, it was also a very productive year.

Shahid was busy with a major part of last year shooting for Haider and he then went into promotions of the film.

Almost immediately after the release of Haider, Shahid began shooting for Shaandar.

Now that the shoot of Shaandar has wrapped up, Shahid is finally got some time to himself. He needs time to unwind and relax after the hectic and tiring shooting schedule.

Shahid is going to spend some time by himself catching up on things he has missed doing.
