Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami team to honor Bapu tomorrow.

Gandhiji shall have a special tribute this birthday. Our team has found that a 21 gunshot salute is being planned to honor the father of the nation. This present is being dedicated towards Bapu by the team of Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, a comedy-satire that releases on Oct 10.

The event will be held at Bandstand at the Gandhiji Statue on the 2nd of October where real cannons would be part of the special gift. 

Along with this the team would also be felicitating 11 common people who have worked for the society and their efforts have gone unnoticed.

Confirming the event producer Abhinav Shukla says, "Gandhiji has had a huge influence on our lives. Probably that also seeped into the way we saw the film shaping up. It is a story about the triumph of the common man told through a very interesting father-son relationship and bears the message of honesty."

Director Ravindra Gautam says, "As we complete the film we believe we have much to thank Gandhiji for. We know he has got it earlier too but we feel an ekkees toppon ki salaami is still the most apt gift we could have come up."

Even after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Farhan doesn't mind doing ensemble cast films

Farhan Akhtar is an excellent actor and he is known for outstanding performances in all kinds of films.
He delivered a blockbuster hit with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in which he received a lot of accolades for his role as the Flying Sikh.

Ben Affleck's much awaited 'GONE GIRL' had it's worldwide premiere this evening in New York City as the opening night film of the New York Film Festival!!!

While shooting for an important scene in the film the team of Ekees Toppon Ki Salaami got government officials suspicious so much so that they got the film shoot stalled.

The director Ravindra Gautam along with Divyendu Sharma was shooting a critical scene which was supposed to be a  political mob.

Divyendu would be seen playing a political party helper who goes on a rally in support of this party. Clad in bandanas of the party a biker troop shouting out the name of the party caught a lot of attention at the Gate Way of India where the shoot was being held. This troop was being headed by Divyendu.

The shoot looked so real that the official came and started asking about this unheard party and who they were.

The entire situation had got too chaotic and a lot of people had gather around. To avoid any inconvenience the official had asked to stop the shoot

The event’s marketing team had already announced and advertised the event so it was too late for anything to change.

The actor has always encouraged the right to vote and has been part of a lot of campaigns to spread awareness about voting.

Not being able to vote this time has really upset the actor as there is nothing he can do about it.

From the makers of Tanu Weds Manu, comes Jigariyaa a small budget film with new faces, produced by Vinod Bachchan, directed by Raj Purohit. Though a smaller canvas, the film has been applauded by the big directors of the industry already, namely Action-king  Rohit Shetty and Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Such support is very rarely seen in today’s day and age.

A lot of times, people talk about how they should they support small films but very few take the onus upon themselves. And now, these two ace filmmakers have actually done it. On the launch Rohit Shetty said, “Naye kalakaron ke saath itni khoobsurat film banayi hain. Mein samajta hoon Jigariyaa jaisi film banane ke liye Jigar ki zarurat hain,joh Vinod Bachchan ne kar dikhaya hain.”

After watching the trailer of the film, Rajkumar Hirani told that he also belongs from a small town and hence he can very well relate to the movie. He could sense the small city’s fragrance which has attracted him. He really loves the trailer; he also met the Director of the Film Raj Purohit and Producer Vinod Bachchan. He felt the passion with which the film is made and he would love to watch it once it is completed and for now he wishes the team of Jigariyaa All the Best.

This festive season, Life OK promises to add a smile on the face of its viewers by taking them back to the classroom; yes literally! And this class is one that no one would want to miss. The channel, known for its out of the box and disruptive appeal, is bringing together the biggest stars of comedy in its latest offering “Comedy Classes”.

Produced by Optimystix, the new show is a sitcom about an acting school called ‘Ache Din Institute’ with a crazy bunch of teachers and students.

The class consists of mad teachers such as Krushna, the flamboyant, flirtatious and artful acting coach who is a struggling actor himself and does odd jobs for a living. Bharti plays the dance instructor, whose contemporaries include Saroj Khan and Farah Khan. She has invented her own moves and grooves like Bharti-Natyam and Gambra (a mix of garba and bhangra). The ‘Kanjus’ but romantic old music master Sudesh who never misses a chance to mix two songs to create his ‘original’ compositions and the inimitable Urdu expert from Pakistan,Shakeel Siddiqui, who can speak no more than seven sentences in Urdu!

The peon, Munna Dubey (Mubeen), is actually a wealthy guy who works as a peon just because he is a ‘khandani naukar’. And last but not the least, the hot receptionist of the institute keeps the fire burning with her latke-jhatke to fulfill her dream of becoming an item girl.

Censor Board gives a thumps up to Shahid - Shraddha's Haider.

If the noises and comments are to be believed which are coming out from the censor board’s office then Haider is one film to look out for.

The censor board has been raving about the lead pair of the film and is very impressed with the performances. After a long hiatus a very strong performance based film by every actor is releasing.

Those at censor who have seen the film can't seem to stop raving about the lead pair which is Shahid and Shraddha.

According to sources the censor board members were heard speaking very highly about the film. They were heard saying that they are very impressed with Shahid Kapoor’s performance in particular as they felt that he has carried off the intense performance with a lot of finesse. They seemed to agree that its one of his best performances of all times.

Haider is the name of the character played by Shahid Kapoor who returns to seek vengeance for his father’s murder; the character is very powerful and intense.

Sohum Shah seems to be having quite an eventful  year. The actor-producer very excited at juggling many hats in his production company, Recyclewala Films. 
His film Newborns, a hauntingly beautiful documentary on the female survivors of acid attacks, has been selected ay the Toronto Film Festival.

The documentary is based on the acid attack women who bravely defy the trauma and fear that will always accompany them.

The film is produced by Anand Gandhi, Sohum Shah, and Ruchi Bhimani of Recyclewala Labs in collaboration with the Stop Acid Attacks campaign. Newborns is Recyclewala’s third production after critically acclaimed films Ship Of Theseus and Gulabi Gang.

Says Sohum, "Our film, 'Newborns' has been selected for the festival. It was screened at the event to a tremendous response! 'Newborns' is a very moving film about acid attack survivors. We're so proud of Megha (Ramaswamy, Director) and her entire team!"

The actor has also been having a hectic shooting schedule. His next film,Tumbad, a cop drama with Irrfan Khan finished its first schedule in June. The unusual title of the film has already created mystery around the film. Tumbad is a dark period thriller set against the backdrop of colonial India and infused with elements of fantasy.

Sohum plays an anti-hero in the upcoming fantasy epic, and is said to have undergone an intense transformation for his character.

Govinda perfects Kill Dil title track

​Kill Dil’s recently released title track has received a phenomenal response. People have loved the song and its edgy music a lot but they have no idea how much effort Govinda put into the song.

Govinda has always been a brilliant actor and phenomenal dancer but he had to practice for the title track. 

Since the song opens with Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar mouthing the beats of the song, Govinda wanted to perfect it. Hence he practiced a lot for this segment of the song.

Govinda's iconic step has been repeated in the title track and the edgy music is paired with Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar’s camaraderie.

This song is ​different from what Govinda has executed before but the superstar nailed it perfectly. ​

While it was recently announced that Sai Kabir's next Divine Lovers starring Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan may qualify as the country's first Indo-French co-production, French producer Léonard Glowinski, and DGA Film France Frank Priot were recently in the city to interact with the media along with director Sai Kabir and leads Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan. Not many know that the French guests were treated to some typical Mumbaiya street food , as director Sai Kabir took them to Mohammed Ali not to mention , other landmarks in Mumbai.Both Léonard Glowinski and Frank Priot were all praise for leads Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan having watched Queen & Lunchbox,both of which had received acclaim overseas.
