Charudutt Acharya is brimming with excitement.

All Work But Also Pleasure At SONALI CABLE Rehearsals!

Charudutt Acharya is brimming with excitement. Why shouldn’t he? His directorial debut is all set to hit the silver screen, SONALI CABLE, the film which he has also written is already garnering curiousity. For himself, he is glad that he had such an exceptional team of cast and crew.

“I have become a fan of my lead pair, Ali Fazal and Rhea Chakraborty!” quipped Acharya, apparently the leading lady has completely impressed the director, “Rhea is young, when I saw her at audition I felt her raw energy which I personally liked about her. Before starting the shoot of the film, I kept workshop for 6 weeks. During workshop we used to rehearsed each scene day and night. I am glad that during workshop each actor contributed their 100%, no doubt there was lot of time invested but no one ever complained about it!”

Ask Rhea and she has her own reasons for not having complained, “There were many reputed actors who were rehearsing over 150 times for a scene, so for that I had to rehearse at least 300-400 times, right? I just felt I need more practice. It was tiresome but also fun.” She further adds, “Sometimes during our workshop Ramesh (Sippy) sir used to come by that time the fun was double, his suggestions were very useful for us. Infact, we used to wait when Ramesh sir will come and guide us!” Being guided by the man who gave our country, SHOLAY, is certainly a dream for debutantes all over!

Sonali Cable, starring Rhea Chakraborty, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Raghav Juyal, Swanand Kirkire and Smita Jaykar, written and directed by Charudutt Acharya, produced by Ramesh Sippy, Rohan Sippy, Roopa de Choudhury
and Kamia Mulhotra, under the banner of Ramesh Sippy Entertainment in association with BombayMania Production Pvt. Ltd. and is a PVR Pictures release, is slated for 10th October 2014 release.

Rannvijay experiences something strange while shooting for 3 AM

\Rannvijay Singh was shooting for a horror film. However he never anticipated that while shooting it he would get so scared.

The team shot for 20 days at the Great Eastern Mill, during the silence of the night.

It was an exhausting shooting schedule physically as well as mentally and emotionally.

The stillness of the mill was spooky and Rannvijay was undergoing a feeling which he could not explain.

He felt certain sections of the premise had a strange vibe.

He had a hunch of it having some paranormal movement - a strange smell.

He did not want to scare the unit and hence did not share this with anyone. Even though he was scared he kept it to himself.

He just plainly avoided going to these sections or even looking there.

However he mustered courage and spoke about his fears once the film was over and was in post production.

A few members from the crew shared that they also underwent strange experiences during the shoot
.

GANPATI FESTIVAL OF 80’s RECREATED in ‘VARTAK NAGAR’

The Ganpati Festival is widely celebrated through the nation but never more fervently than in Maharashtra.
It has become a norm for many Bollywood films to capture the essence of the Ganpati Festival in all its splendour but few would have captured the essence of the Ganpati Festival during the years 1981 and 1982.

Kunal Kohli Productions, Dione Entertainment and Adarsh Telemedia who have jointly produced ‘Vartak Nagar- the Story of Four Crows’ have left no stone unturned to recreate the magic of the festival from an era past.  Says Kunal Kohli , “Vartak Nagar uses the backdrop of the great Mumbai mill strike and Ganpati is the underlying motif of the film. The film commences and ends with the Ganpati festival. However, the fictionalised narrative of the loss of innocence of four teenage Mumbai boys is juxtaposed between the Ganpati festival of 1981 and 1982”.

The films debutant director Atul Taishete also chipped in saying, “We shot on real locations with around a thousand junior artists every day. I believe we have never seen such scale of the festival on the Indian screen before. I had amazingly generous producers and they pulled no stops in giving the festival the scale it so deserves.”

Producer, Amit Agarwal believes that a film must be given all the support it requires and is rather pleased that in his maiden Bollywood production he has been able to showcase such a unique and relevant feature of our countries history, all the while serenading Lord Ganesha.

“Not only have we shot the Ganpati festival on a large scale, we also had to create a well choreographed fight sequence between the lead protagonist and antagonist against the backdrop of the festival. Therefore, we not only have the uniqueness of the Ganpati festival during those years, but also the grit and determination of two strong characters locked in a battle of ideologies.”

-But here it was vice versa and after a few  takes Rajniesh was quite comfortable with the entire sequence!

-Well lets wait and watch as Rajniesh & Surveen are surely going to sizzle on the big screen with this romantic passionate song!!

PK is Aamir's toughest shoot ever

Aamir Khan feels that his role in PK has been very challenging and by far one of his most difficult films.

The ace actor felt that PK is one of his most emotional film as he had to portray different emotions within seconds.

Aamir also felt that if he put his films on scales then all his films will be on one side and PK on the other.

Aamir has time and again been praised for his perfectionist behavior and yet again PK is another example of this.

The actor felt that PK is a high on emotions film.

Aamir without revealing much felt that people will understand and connect with PK only after watching the film.

Looking at the poster itself one can gauge how different is the film and Aamir's role as well.

Aamir also had to learn Bhojpuri as his character demanded that.

Sin City2: A Dame to Kill For review by ANIZ FILMVALA

Sin City2: A Dame to Kill For
review by
ANIZ FILMVALA
*****

Bang!! Bang!!! So Sin City 2 is back rather after a long hiatus but fully loaded and lethal, razz·ma·tazz as never before 3D imaging of tough masculine face straight from comic strip: bad guy’s versus bad guys, a million horsepower energy which will sweep you out of your feet.
The film has five episode of Sin City : Just Another Saturday Night, The Long Bad Night, A Dame to Kill For, The Long Bad Night - II and the most enthralling Nancy's Last Dance" each of the episode has riveting depiction of the dark side of the Sin City. Josh Brolin v/s Eva Green - Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jessica Alba v/s Powers Booth

Marv [Mickey Rourke] is battered and suffering from memory loss wondering about his past.
Johnny [Levitt] an overconfident young gambler arrives in Sin City and heads to Roark place where he hits the jackpot with instinctive skill of card playing and makes enemy with the Roark gang and in consequences is killed.

Ava [Eva Green] foul plays to kill her wealthy tycoon husband which Dwight falls prey to it and is almost killed in the mayhem caused by Ava’s goon, but Marv comes to his rescue and sweeps him out at the last minute.

Nancy [Jessica Alba] is on a mission to avenge the self killing of her lost love Hartigan [Bruce Willis] done by Roark as he was agonized about his devil looking son’s killing by Hartigan.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller Sin City 2 is a visual tribute to the evergreen comic caricatures of Dark Horse Comics which must have been a daily dose to many readers globally. The movie has been shot in Black and White enhancing the authentic experience to the comic addicts.

Mickey Rourke recreates [with prosthetics] the Stone Age monstourius effect in Marv, Josh Brolin as Dwight justifies the caricature gradation with chutzpah, Jessica Alba rules with her deadly moves and erotica on the title track which sets the screen on fire. CREATURE created by Vikram Bhatt

Bhushan Kumar gives India its first sci - fi Creature film
CREATURE created by Vikram Bhatt puts Bollywood At Par With Hollywood with Creature 3D
After 100 years of Cinema, Bollywood is set to take the leap that will
finally bring the audience on the same page as 21st century filmmakers the
world  over! This is Vikram Bhatt's excitement as its few decades to finally
have a completely CGI  (Computer Generated Imagery) character we can call our own.
It has been years since we have been applauding Hollywood for making Gollum from scratch in THE LORD OF THE RINGS or were thrilled when JURASSIC PARK showed us dinosaurs but it is only now with the mythological CREATURE that Vikram Bhatt has conjured that we have something to boast of!
Creature created by Vikram is not a fictional character but based on India's history. It's inspired by Brahmarakshas who were a regular feature in old Indian stories like Vikram and Vetala, Panchatantra and other old wives tales, as per Hindu mythology. Kudos to the  team of CREATURE because unlike most others who have attempted to have CGI characters in their films, CREATURE makers have not restricted the minutes  of screen time that features this imaginary being.
"Our Creature is as much a part of the film as the hero and the heroine, it
has the same amount of screen time, he has as much footage, not some
10-15mins towards the end" said Bhatt, "All I know is that we have a great
sense of responsibility of what we have brought into the hindi film
industry. If this works we would have opened a whole new avenue for other
filmmakers here!"
Bhushan Kumar who has received positive feedback from the media industry and exhibitors who has seen a small chunk of Creature says, "Creature 3D is the efforts and vision of Vikram Bhatt which we at T-Series has supported fully. The response we received from the industry is overwhelming and we are confident with the VFX and effects. Our Creature doesn't merely come and go, the Creature is present for an hour as equal to our lead actors."
The technique and the craft alone make CREATURE that landmark film that
will certainly give the audience the thrills we have longed for, in Hindi
Cinema! "I know one thing for sure, when the audience sees it, they will
make others see it!" quipped Bhatt.
Creature 3D, starring Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas, directed by Vikram Bhatt, produced under the banner of T-series, is slated for 12th September 2014 release
