26^th March 2014, Mumbai: For the 1st time, the city saw Bollywood celebrities, politicians and the corporate world all under one paradigm, all to support that one cause that unites or breaks all mankind – Women! Kelvinator Stree Shakti Women Achievers Award, a COLORS initiative is a ceremony created by Smruti Shinde & Vikas Gulati of SOBO Films. The award ceremony would not have moved forward without the gracious support of Kelvinator as its sponsor. It celebrated its 1st year this evening with a grand opening at a suburban 5-star hotel. The nation will catch this extravagant affair on COLORS in the coming month.

The award function celebrated the life of those women who have made their presence known in this progressive society with a predominant male presence all the while believing in the limitless possibilities that life has to offer. This ceremony brought to light the life of those women who are wise, courageous, compassionate and brave enough to take charge and leave an impact on society. Faced with obstacles these women walked on a path less travelled and prove to the world that they are forces to be reckoned with.

The beauty about this award function was that it brought together woman from all walks of life under one roof, where their inspiring stories are shared with everyone on a higher platform, raising awareness towards the recognition of woman’s empowerment.

These Awards were backed by some of the most prominent faces in India who took out time to show support for this celebration. Gracing the Red Carpet with their eloquence and elegance were some of industry’s biggest names who were honored with Awards in categories of Outstanding Achievers, Popular Achievers, and Honorary Achievers and many more.

Sridevi launches the next "Hawaa Hawaai"

Amole Gupte’s Hawaa Hawaai trailer will be unveiled by Sridevi. The makers thought that it was only appropriate if Sridevi launches the trailer of Hawaa Hawaai as she has popularised the term ‘Hawaa Hawaai’ by featuring in a hit song of the same name from the film, ‘Mr India’.

On this Amole Gupte says, “The wonderful talent of Indian cinema Ms. Sridevi agreed to launch the first look of the new Hawaa Hawaai immediately because she felt the baton of the original Hawaa Hawaai was going into deserving hands,”

Hawaa Hawaai is set to release on 9th May 2014.

Aamir Khan's clarification to election commission

Several people have bought to Aamir Khan's notice that there is a social campaign doing the rounds that Aamir Khan is supporting AAP and that's not true at all.
Hence Aamir Khan has written to the election commission clarifying that he is not endorsing any particular political party.

Lots of candidates of AAP have used twitter has been populated with an image that is making an impression that the actor Aamir Khan has been endorsing Aam Aadmi Party.

The actor is not okay with this as it is giving a false impression of him. Even though Aamir Khan from the start has been supportive to encourage people to vote, he has never endorsed a specific political party

The actor has so written to the election commission to take immediate action on the same as this has been done without his consent  

The actor does not want his name to be misused like this.

Spokesperson of Aamir confirms the news and adds "Aamir Khan from day one has made it clear that he will not be endorsing a particular political party. He is not supporting or campaigning for any political party."

    Arnold Schwarzenegger is back but not with a bang, muscle man Arnie is a “Breacher” Wharton commander of an elite squad of DEA.A suspense action thriller with mindless gory bloodshed is what you see more rather than a strong story to back the veteran.

As each member is mysteriously butchered [as one of them is crushed by a train is nerve-wracking] by an unknown enemy, the puzzle game starts of whodunit’s.

Team of an unpleasant looking members is a junk with no sympathy and connect will give you a dispassionate experience.

Sam Worthington and Mireille Enos stand out in whole with their boorish act. Some high scale action to give you a worth of watching a Arnie movie.

Schwarzenegger has been competently handling violent action movies and has enthralled audience for decades but this does not add to his archives of a must watch. Sabotage Directed by David Ayer is just another potboiler, with style and gore work.

Special Screening of O Teri

The first special screening of O Teri was held yesterday at Sunny Super Sound in Juhu.

The entire team of the film which included the actor Pulkit Samrat, Bilal Amrohi and Sara Jane Dias, director, Umesh Bist, producers Atul and Alvira Agnihotri were present and music composer GJ Singh was present.

Interestingly Salman Khan who is presenting the film made an interesting entry. The actor was seen riding coming on a white Activa.

The bike garnered a lot of attention so much so that Bilal, Pulkit, Sara and Salman were seen posing on it.

The film is set to release on the 28th of March.
