Shahid gives blankets to his watchmen

Shahid Kapoor is currently in Kashmir, braving the sub-zero temperatures and shooting for the next schedule of Haider. And back home, a bunch of building watchmen have a word of thanks for the actor.

A couple of weeks ago, when Mumbai felt the chill with the temperatures dropping, Shahid had noticed that the night watchmen in his compound were braving the cold winds without even a proper blanket.

And seeing this, Shahid Kapoor was disturbed to see the watchmen’s plight. His society doesn’t allow the night watchmen to make bonfires in the compound because of the smoke and also because it is considered a safety hazard.

So after Shahid witnessed their predicament, he stepped out to buy blankets for them. And the guys who guard his society are grateful to the actor for this kind gesture.

Shraddha Kapoor's mother fond of her advertisement

While Shraddha Kapoor has been getting a lot of positive feedback for her secret temptation deo advertisement from friends and family, there is a special person who loves the advertisement the most.

Yes, it is the pretty, young actor’s mother, who loves the advertisement the most. Shraddha’s mother personally loves the song that has been used in the background of the advertisement.

The song has always been Shraddha’s mom’s favourite and now that her daughter features in the advertisement makes her like it even more.

Mommy Kapoor gets a smile on her face each time she watches the advertisement on television.

Also Shraddha Kapoor was the perfect choice for the advertisement as it required someone young, likeable and relatable. The actress looks absolutely stunning in the advertisement.

Her simple, girl next door image has worked very well for her. Be it the massive success of Aashiqui 2 or her recent advertisements. She has managed to bring a lot of energy and freshness to the projects she has taken up.

Deepika Padukone is inundated with a lot of requests in the last few days.

As soon as the news broke that Deepika Padukone had taken a fan to a recent award ceremony, thousands of fans have written and reached out to Deepika Padukone.

She has received umpteenth number of fan mails. In fact her fan mail has almost doubled since the award nights.

She has received mails talking about how they wish it were them or that they want to meet her as well.

All of them have written to her appreciating the gesture she had shown towards her fans.

It is the first time ever an actor has shared this special moment, of winning an award with their fan. Deepika was keen to attribute her success to her fans that have all through her journey stood by her.

Her gesture has been received very well with her fans and has had a sort of rippling effect.

Deepika Padukone acknowledged the role of her fans and thanked them for their place in her life on the podium while receiving the award for the world to see.

Her fans are ecstatic that she has acknowledged them on the world forum.

Gunday is one of the first films to be shot in a real coal mine.

Gunday was one of last narrations of Yash Chopra. He green lit the project and also gave a lot of his inputs for the film.

Yash Chopra was very keen for Ali to shoot the film at an actual coal mine. He felt that while shooting for Kaala Patthar(starring Amitabh Bachchan), Yashi ji himself did not take the plunge.

He insisted on the fact that Ali should definitely shoot at a coal mine and also shared details of his experience and details about coal mines.
Yash Chopra enthusiastically even shared options of where all can the shoot be held.

When the film went into production YRF was very enthusiastic to weave this through.

The coal mine shots are done in an open cast mine in Raniganj which is 3 hours away from Kolkata.

Never before has there been a film shot in this area. Not even, a Bengali or small scale film.

The permission bit was not a problem.. In fact all the nitty gritties worked out smoothly for them. The authorities were very accommodating.

Even when the team went for a recce the authorities gave them access during lunch breaks for them to scan and plan things.

Ali also interacted with miners to closely understand their lifestyle, their work conditions etc. He also photographed them to ensure he gets the nuances of the look right.

When they went back to shoot, there was an entire area which was allotted to them.

Their shooting schedule was two week long and they had no interference from the miners what so ever.

The only little hiccup was that while they shot every day, a huge sea of people gathered there out of curiosity.

They used to sit there all day long keenly observing the shoot.

Everyone is very pleased with the way the film has turned out.

Ali has been glad Yash ji advised him to go to an actual mine. His experience of shooting there and the way the film has visually taken shape would not have been the same.

Ya Rab Story

After watching the film - ''YA RAB'' of TRUE FILMS, The tribunal of India stated: ''We have viewed the aforesaid film, This is a thought provoking movie which condemns fundamentalism in strongest terms & exposes self styled religious leaders who owe allegiance to foreign powers.

The tribunal is of the view that such films be shown to younger age group to sensitise them about the terrorist activities by certain outfits which incite the people to resort to violence in the name of religion. No religion preaches intolerance or violence, but terrorists have no religion''.

After speaking with Lucknow based Qazi: Abdul Irfan Miyan Firangi Mahali Maulana quoted: ''People use their personal benefits to provoke or to instigate young muslims in the name of Jihad, to spread terrorism. On the contrary Islam is a peace loving religion and killing people is not Jihad''.

Mahesh Bhatt quoted, "YA RAB has been approved by the tribunal in glowing terms, but yet it is sad that we film makers have run from pillar to post after following the due process of law to release this film.”
