Telly Calendar shoot kicks off in Malaysia!

December 2013: Following the success of Telly calendar last year, India’s biggest entertainment component, its television industry has alighted to Malaysia for the 2014 calendar shoot. It’s the most awaited moment of the year where our small screen beauties come together for a glam session coupled with some behind the screen action, gossips and bundle of entertainment. Like every year, Marinating Films create the best look for the small screen divas with interesting concepts and awe-inspiring locations that sets the calendar apart from the rest in the industry.

Known for its picturesque locations, natural attractions and the tranquil beeches, Malaysia is an ideal choice for Telly calendar 2014. This time around the 13 divas have explored the breathtaking locations from metropolitan cities with ultra-modern buildings and infrastructures to rural landscapes and culture of Malaysia to add to the extravaganza of Telly calendar shoot this year.

The idea of the calendar is to depict each television actress in an avatar that is completely different from their reel life. With an aim to captivate the best picture, Marinating Films and Tourism Malaysia came together to discover the most exquisite hotspots of the country.

Malaysia has a sizeable Indian population and Indian television following is equally popular here as in India. Malaysia offers plenty of scenic locations for photography and filming purposes such as the lush tropical islands, the crystal clear beaches, the rich wildlife and modern metropolitan cities. This advantage adds to the excellence in the shoot of the calendar.

Captured within beautiful outdoors which are also the tourists hotspots such as Sunway Lagoon, I City, Botanical Garden, Merdeka Square, Putrajaya Mosque, gives our television bahus a chance for some sightseeing while touring the city for the calendar shoot. We peep into the making and behind the scene action as they all strike a pose for the calendar and catch glimpses of PoojaGor, BarkhaBisht, RuchaHasbanis, DivyankaTripathi and many more while they stroll around the streets of Malaysia.

A new year and all new set of images with incredible locations of Malaysia. Brace yourself to witness the hot avatars of our television bahus in the Telly calendar 2014.

After great struggles, Director Mrityunjay finally gets ‘The Bastard Child'

After great struggles, Director Mrityunjay finally gets ‘The Bastard Child'
IMPPA approves the film title
Director Mrityunjay Devvrat finally heaved a sigh of relief after receiving the approval for his film title, ‘The Bastard Child’. The IMPPA had earlier rejected the title on the basis of it being a derogatory word. Mrityunjay reapplied and successfully persuaded the IMPPA to get his title approved, as ‘Bastard’ is a term merely used for a child born out of wedlock and not as an abusive connotation. The producer, Soumya Devvrat and director, Mrityunjay Devvrat really believed in their content and hence had suggested the title as it was extremely relevant.
On receiving this letter of approval, the overjoyed Director says, “I am elated and extremely grateful that IIMPA has reconsidered and cleared our title. The film would have been something else to me if it wasn’t called ‘The Bastard Child’. It is a truly relevant title. It is a story about the Bangladeshis and their struggle for independence in the Liberation War. What these affected women have gone through is truly unimaginable. I am happy to see the support I have on this project. “
From the Director’s heart to the theatres ,‘The Bastard Child’ is slated to release on the 27th December 2013 in India and 13th December 2013 in Bangladesh.
The movie has some notable actors like Farooq Shaikh, Pavan Malhotra, Raima Sen, Indraneil Sengupta and Victor Banerjee.

New Girl in Ali’s life!

New Girl in Ali’s life!

Ali Asgar aka Vicky of Jeanie & Juju has been spending a lot of time on the sets these days. And the reason behind this is a new girl on the sets who has become Ali’s best buddy. But wait! Before you start thinking too much, let us tell you that this friend of Ali’s is a seven-year-old girl Alisha Nathani, who is a new entry in the show. Alisha plays the role of ‘Genius’, Jeannie’s cousin on screen. Our sources from the sets tell us that Ali and Alisha hit it off right from the day one and have become best of friends, to the extent that Alisha and Ali even eat together.

Quiz Ali about this and he says, “Alisha reminds me of my daughter Ada as she is the same age as my daughter’s. I have become very fond of her and she also has got into a comfort zone with me. It all started with helping her with the dialogue delivery. Now I look forward to meeting her on the sets. She is a cute kid and we do lot of masti on the sets.”

Truly said that Friendships have no age bar!

Aamir Khan, who got on the bike for scenes, in his big hit, Ghulam, which was released some years ago, gets on the bike once again for his next release, Dhoom 3. Vikram Bhatt’s Ghulam went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of that year.

While Aamir was seen riding a light weighing bike in Ghulam, the actor will now be seen riding a heavier bike in his big film, Dhoom 3. It is a high end, stylish BMW bike.
The actor will be performing breath taking stunts on the bike in the film. Aamir went through special training to perform the stunts on the bike.
Also there were safety measures that had to be taken before shooting the stunts on the bike..
Dhoom 3 is slated to release on 20th December.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's production house, Excel Entertainment is currently working upon their next two big projects. One which is being directed by Zoya Akhtar and the other which will be directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Both these films are at the stage of their pre-production work. The work which is being carried out for both these projects have been huge. Since pre production is happening at same time there is a lot of overlap in teams.

So Ritesh decided to space it out for teams to be able to work smoothly. So much so that one whole floor has been assigned to each of the films. There are auditions which are happening with full swing for both projects simultaneously. Auditions which happen daily is an entire day process.

Hence Ritesh has dedicated one whole floor each for both films so that there is work happening precisely without any kind of stress.

Azad will be watching his first film ever.

Azad will be watching his first film ever.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have raised their toddler Azad in a much grounded manner. When anyone meets Azad he talks and mingles like any other kid.

He has been kept away from the film industry entirely whereas Ira and Junaid have a better understanding of the industry. Azad till now has never even seen a movie.

Aamir and Kiran think that Dhoom 3 will be a good movie for Azad to watch. Aamir wants to show Azad Dhoom 3.

So for the first time Azad will be watching a film on celluloid. Azad will watch Dhoom in one of the screening Aamir will be having.

Usually, special screenings are held for the friends and family of the stars. However, this time around, the makers of the biggest animated film, Mahabharat are keen to host a screening of the film for Star kids.

Usually, special screenings are held for the friends and family of the stars. However, this time around, the makers of the biggest animated film, Mahabharat are keen to host a screening of the film for Star kids.

Since it is an animated film based on the mythological scripture and the makers want parents to show this to their kids, as they should know about it, the makers are planning this out.

Very big names from the industry have lent their voices to characters in the film like Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor and the makers of the film feel animation is an easy way to convey stories to kids. Also they feel that kids are their biggest critics and if they enjoy the film, so will the others.

Currently, the team is putting together a list of star kids they would be inviting for the special screening.

Details of the big screening of small critics is being worked upon and tentatively they are keen to have Abhi - Ash's daughter, Kajol and Ajay Devgn's kids, Susan and Hrithik Roshan's kids. They are planning to host this screening in the week of release at a suburban multiplex.

Producer Jayantilal Gada confirms "The film is meant for parents to show their kids and so we thought of holding a screening for them would be a great idea. We are still in the process of putting it together".

The film is slated to release this Christmas…

Javed Jaffery to be seen in 7 wacky avatars for Mr. Joe B Carvalho!

Javed Jaffrey whose name is synonym to his brilliant comic timing will next be seen in ‘Mr. Joe B Carvalho’ starring Arshad Warsi & Soha Ali Khan.

For this particular film Javed will be seen not be seen in one-two or three but 7 different avatars!!

The actor whose character name is ‘Carlos’ will be seen in a different quirky avatar every time he comes on screen! And that’s not all; we hear that the actor had to sit for almost 4-5 hrs only for his make-up to make his characters look as authentic as possible.

Some of his looks in the film are that of an Afro man, a blonde woman,a sadhu baba and a Maharashtrian woman

Director Samir Tewari said“Javed’s Sirs Characters are a treat to watch .I remember when we were shooting for his sequences he would take almost 4-5 hrs for his makeup and once he was ready he would be in character throughout the day, till the shoot came to an end.For example when we shot the Maharashtrian killer maid look Javed Sir spoke to everyone on the set in Marathi in a scary deep baritone, even when he was, off camera, which was quite hilarious. It was surely a pleasure to direct Javed bhai.”

Produced by Bhola Ram Malviya & Shital Malviya and Directed by Samir Tiwari

A BR Entertainment Film Mr. Joe B Carvalho starring Arshad Warsi, Soha Ali Khan, Javed Jaffrey, releases on 3rd January, 2014!!
