Synopsis:

Ram (Girish Kumar) always introduces himself as badmaash, bigda hua and badtameez!

Being the only child of Australia based billionaire couple Siddharth (Randhir Kapoor) and Ashvini (Poonam Dhillon), he’s not that far off the mark!

Sona (Shruti Haasan) is a lovely girl from a small village, who has been lovingly brought up by her brother Raghu (Sonu Sood), who has worked night and day to make sure Sona gets a good life. They are not very rich, but their love for each other is priceless.

Ram and his snobbish mother Ashvini come to India to attend his cousin Riya’s wedding. Here he meets Sona, who is Riya’s childhood friend. It’s literally a clash between Venus and Mars! Ram, the habitual flirt, gets drawn to this lovely but simple girl from the village. Young love blossoms – pure and magical. But Sona’s brother Raghu hates the wealthy, and Ram’s mother has nothing but disdain for the not-so wealthy.

Ram will have to face impossible challenges and Sona will have to witness his hardship and humiliation. Can Ram and Sona face the impossible odds? Ram is Girish Kumar. He’s brash and confident and loves a good prank. But he also has a soft

side and will risk everything for those he loves. His mobile face mirrors a thousand emotions,

even as he talks his way out of the most impossible situations. High on energy and talent, this

cute youngster has already made an instant connect with the masses.

Sona is Shruti Haasan. She embodies everything that is soft and feminine and utterly irresistible.

She does not rant and rave in anger or frustration when the two people she loves most in the

world are on a collision course. Because her belief in her love is silent, strong and unyielding.

Raghuveer is Sonu Sood. His mother’s heart was broken by the power of money and she died

leaving her young son to fend for himself and his baby sister. Raghu’s world revolves around

Sona. And he will allow nothing and nobody to come between them. Especially not a spoilt and

wealthy brat from Australia.

Siddharth is Randhir Kapoor. He is counted amongst the Forbes top billionaires from Australia.

He adores his only child Ram and wants his son to enjoy life to the fullest – cost no bar. Father

and son share a great bonding till Ram chooses to leave everything behind to win the hand of

his lady love.

Ashvini is Poonam Dhillon. Although she is married to a billionaire, her passion for wealth

remains unabated. She values a person only by the amount of money he has. Naturally her

hatred for Sona is immediate and obvious. She simply cannot understand how or why her son

likes this simple village girl.

CULVER CITY, Calif., May 15, 2013 – Sony Pictures Entertainment has won the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the eagerly anticipated Angry Birds animated film, making it one of the most high-profile deals of the year. The 3D film is being developed, produced, and financed by Rovio Entertainment and will be released worldwide by Sony Pictures on July 1, 2016. Several major studios pursued the global film rights in recent weeks, with Sony Pictures Entertainment emerging as the winner.

Michael Lynton, Chairman & CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Amy Pascal, Co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio Entertainment jointly announced their partnership today. John Cohen and David Maisel – producer of Despicable Me and executive producer of Iron Man, respectively – are both on board for the new Angry Birds feature film. Cohen will serve as producer and Maisel is executive producer.

Commenting on the announcement, Mikael Hed said, “Sony impressed us with their great attitude, determination, and professionalism. They convinced us that we have found the right partners and team to help us market and distribute our first motion picture. Michael, Amy, Jeff Blake, Sony's marketing and distribution head, and their teams will be the best possible collaborators as we get set to take our franchise to the next level.”

While shooting in Maasai Mara National Park in Kenya the cast and crew of Susi Ganesh’s ‘Shortcut Romeo’ witnessed an interesting site where a Lion was chasing a Deer. The site was so interesting that the unit along with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Puja Gupta stopped shooting and waited for the outcome of whether the Lion will be able to attack the Deer.

It was an hair raising experience for the entire crew but Susi used this to his benefit as he shot the entire hunting, which is also used in the film. As per a unit member, “It was a scary site and looked as if we were shooting for a National Geographic animal documentary”.  While Susi was shooting this, Neil got excited and started clicking pictures.

'Shortcut Romeo' is a remake of Susi Ganesh's super hit Tamil film 'Thiruttu Payale' and is shot in the exotic locations of Kenya. It will release on 21st June, 2013.

Neil Nitin Mukesh in ‘Shortcut Romeo’ is in for a look make-over of sorts. For the film, Neil who plays a tapori character who wants to get rich quick. And to give this look the director felt he needed to get rid of his classy look and bearing. And to get him into the character Susi Ganesh suggested he grows his hair and develops a little roadside aggressive body language.  

Commenting on Neil’s look Susi Ganesh says, “We wanted Neil to have a tapori look. His long hair gives us that. His character not only demands tapori but a rich man, for that also this long hair will help.” When asked if it was difficult to convince Neil for this look, Susi promptly says, “I wasn’t difficult because when saw my original film, he loved the long hair look. I wanted to do this because Neil has never tried this look on him.

Neil stylist Vikram Pharmar had to work a lot on his hair to get the apt look. He says, “Initially we tried to test with wig but after seeing the script and action sequences, Neil decided to grow his hair and have an original. I got a brief from the director that he wanted a very down market guy look on Neil but later when he has money and wealth he has a clean shaven look which is more corporate.” 

Vikram concludes, “The most appealing this about Neil’s look is that he has never looked this handsome and cruel in a same film. This is very different and stylish look.”

His co-star Ameesha Patel feels it’s a difficult task to make Neil look like a tapori. Ameesha explains, “It's difficult to make Neil look like a tapori because his face is like a foreigner. His blonde hair and fair complexion looks very rich and classy. I have always met him during parties, in which he looks elegant in a suit or a tuxedo. But when I saw him in the tapori look I was completely impressed as he was carrying it really well.”

Mantra has always been appreciated for his witty jokes and comments of Comedy Circus. The actor has gained applause for his acts but will soon quit the show for his film ‘Dil Patang’. He will be seen in the finale episode but has decided not to be a part of the next season.
Confirming the news Mantra says, “Yes, I am quitting the show. The producers have been kind and allowed me to focus on my movie. I have been in the industry for over a decade, but the success I have enjoyed after becoming a part of Comedy Circus is exceptional.”
Mantra in the film will be seen playing the role of a common boy trying to fulfill his dreams.

Rohit Khaitan’s ‘Prague’ starring Chandan Roy Sanyal, Elena Kazan, Arfi Lamba, Mayank Kumar and Sonia Bindra is a psychological thriller directed by Ashish Shukla. The idea of making this film came from both Rohit and Ashish while they were working on Dev D as line producer and manager respectively. They finalized Chandan Roy Sanyal immediately after seeing his work in Kaminey.

Commenting on the film, Chandan Roy Sanyal says, “Rohit and Ashish, the two Dev D’s with this Kaminey made Prague happen.”

But for the first time, 11 filmmakers from different parts of India have come together for a never-seen-before cinematic experience as they collaborate on one single film about one filmmaker. 

'X' is a filmmaker’s journey through his past encounters with his 10 ex-girlfriends as he spends one surreal unforgettable night at a film festival after he meets a mysterious girl who intriguingly seems to have something to do with every woman in his life. 

Abhinav Shiv Tiwari (Oass), Anu Menon (London Paris New York), Hemant Gaba (Shuttlecock Boys), Pratim D. Gupta (Paanch Adhyay), Q (Gandu), Raja Sen (film critic), Rajshree Ojha (Aisha), Sandeep Mohan (Love, Wrinkle Free), Sudhish Kamath (Good Night Good Morning), Suparn Verma (Aatma) and Thiagarajan Kumararaja (Aaranya Kaandam) will write and direct individual segments as writer-director K (Rajat Kapoor) goes back in time as memories of his 10 ex-girlfriends haunt him over the course of one night.

The filmmakers met in Mumbai last weekend to brainstorm and lock their individual segments after online interactions and exchange of over 300 mails for over six weeks.

"What started out as just a random idea has blown into this big and brilliant exercise in collaboration of minds and exchange of ideas across genres," says Sudhish who was instrumental in getting the filmmakers together from everywhere - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. "In one film we are trying to mix these different textures that have made these directors win audiences from across the globe."

Manish Mundra, Producer said: "It's so exciting to have these amazing and talented filmmakers come together for such an ambitious film. ’X' brings the best of new-age Indian cinema on a platform that can reach out to all kinds of audiences all over."

"What's fascinating about the project is that in one film, you have such diverse voices with such varied visions come together… I had to get involved and say: You guys focus on the film and don’t worry about anything else, I’ll figure out the finances and production," says Shiladitya Bora, Executive Producer on the movie.

            Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring.  But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes.  The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

Neil Nitin Mukesh and Puja Gupta will be seen romancing in a hot air ballon for Susi Ganesh’s ‘Shortcut Romeo’. The duo has shot in the air balloon for a romantic number called, Khali Salaam Dua. The song has come out beautifully but while shooting Neil, Puja and Susi escaped an accident which could have caused huge losses.

Commenting on the same, producer Manjari Ganesh says, “Shooting the track had many hurdles. Due to the sun's heat, hot air balloons tend to catch fire. So we were compelled to shoot early in the morning. We also had to be careful about the wind movement as it often led the balloons to clash with each other.”

Manjari further explains, “In fact, one day the balloon carrying Neil and Puja was on the brink of clashing into the one carrying Susi. Thankfully, his balloon swayed down and Neil’s balloon gently passed above us. The song was completed in three days.”

Recently  there was an event called "Festival of Hope" held in Delhi, which was in aid of Breast Cancer. Many celebrities from all walks of life walked on ramp including Neena Gupta among others. We spotted the ever so hot and innovative Model/Vj/Actress Pooja Misrra showstopping for the same show.

She took the stage in a blue jacket and as she reached the head ramp she removed the jacket to reveal a baby pink [the color of breast cancer] bra which she was wearing inside. We were really glad to know that the shy and conservative Pooja did so for a good, noble cause. Pooja bounced back into focus by participating in this show and that to for a cause "Breast Cancer Awareness".

The real estate mafia is the backdrop of the film Aurangzeb. Hence the makers decided to keep the press conference at a construction site.

Seeing permissions was a problem also there were various safety measures and protocols to be followed. 

However, the location set the theme for the evening where present were Rishi Kapoor, Jacky Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Prithviraj. Present also was the debutant director Atul Sabharwal

This was the first time the cast came together post the shoot. There were candid on set conversations which cropped up and the workers at the construction site were all clued it.

Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing a double role in Aurangzeb.

In ‘Shortcut Romeo’, Ameesha Patel will take on Neil Nitin Mukesh. Ameesha, who has always been known for her innocent and cute looks, will play the villain or the anti hero in the film. Ameesha says she has worked very hard for her role and believes that she is not the heroine but “the hero” of the film. In fact not just Ameesha, even her co-star Neil feels the same.

Talking about Ameesha’s role, Neil says, “Ameesha’s character is very interesting. She is the anti hero in the film. She is the negative lead and she has done complete justice to the role.”

Commenting on the same, Ameesha says, “This film has two heroes Neil and me. My role was very challenging and I wouldn’t call myself the heroine of the film.”
